FREMONT, CA: 1-Net Singapore, a provider of data center and cloud solutions, announces the opening of 1-Net North Data Center in the South East Asian region to support Singapore’s Smart Nation vision. The Data center is a Tier III Constructed Facility certified by the Uptime Institute.
The launch of the 1-Net Data Center is constructed to address the demands of the increasingly digitized regional economy. It is also in response to network content companies and financial institutions seeking to outsource their data storage to data centers and meet security risk compliances on their IT infrastructure.
The 1-Net data center is designed for concurrent functioning with no single point of failure. Even in case of components failure, the system ensures operations continuity during repair process and maintenance.
The 1-Net North Data Center has also been awarded with the BCA-IDA Green Mark Award for New Data Centers (Gold Plus), which implies that the 1-Net solutions are green and sustainable.
The data center is in compliance with both the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Technology Risk Management guidelines on Threat and Vulnerability Risk Assessment (TVRA) and Guidelines for Enhancing Building Security in Singapore (GEBSS) from Ministry of Home Affairs.
“As businesses continue to drive towards growth, companies now have to respond to an unpredictable economic climate, meeting escalating levels of regulation and compliance, technological advances and ever greater complexity and volume of data,” says Mr Wong Ka Vin, Managing Director, 1-Net Singapore. “The opening of 1-Net North is opportune, with the formation of the Committee for Future Economy late last year, and as more companies in Singapore implement digital transformation at the workplace. 1-Net North Data Center provides flexibility and scalability for companies, without compromising on security and reliability in their IT infrastructure.”
