ROUND ROCK, TX: Dell Boomi, a computer software company, announces that its AtomSphere solution has been positioned as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), 2016. This is the third consecutive year that Dell Boomi has been positioned as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

Integration platform as a Service delivers a cloud service for application, data, process, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) integration scenarios. It is a multi-tenant platform that supports cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-on-premises, on-premises-to-on-premises and Business to Business (B2B) integration. It supports real-time integration and scales to meet the high-volume demands of mobile, extract, transform and load (ETL) and electronic data interchange (EDI) environments.

Dell Boomi AtomSphere iPaaS is a total cloud-managed multi-tenant platform that enables customers to easily connect any combination of cloud and on-premises applications without software, appliances or coding. Companies can utilize AtomSphere to reduce development complexity and achieve significantly faster time-to-value compared to extending the use of traditional middleware solutions for cloud and mobile integrations. AtomSphere also provides the enterprise-class scalability and performance companies need at a far lower total cost of ownership.

Gartner Magic Quadrant research methodology provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers in fast-growing markets: Leaders, Visionaries, Niche Players and Challengers.

A Leader's vision is typically focused on incrementally improving existing capabilities and addressing emerging requirements, while aggressively expanding market share via new channels and through industry or geographic expansion strategies. They have the financial resources to pursue their technology and market vision. Leaders understand what is required to drive the enterprise iPaaS market in terms of technology, adoption patterns, use cases and industry impact. Most of them have already demonstrated these abilities by playing a crucial role (along with other pioneers) in shaping the market into its present form and showing an understanding of emerging requirements such as API management, citizen integrator, IoT and analytics, according to Gartner. The other positions designated by the Gartner Magic Quadrant are:

Visionaries: These players understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well.

Niche Players: These players focus successfully on a small segment, or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others.

Challengers: These players execute well today or may dominate a large segment, but do not demonstrate an understanding of market direction.

Dell Boomi delivers a multi-purpose PaaS for AtomSphere integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Master Data Management (MDM) and API Management, and enables customers to integrate any combination of cloud and on-premises applications without software, appliances or coding. Organizations of all sizes, from growing mid-market companies to very large enterprises, enjoy rapid time to value as a result of drastically reduced implementation times and substantial cost savings over traditional integration, MDM, and API management solutions.

“We believe that being recognized as a Leader, positioned the highest and furthest for execution and vision, reflects both the value our iPaaS brings to our customers and our ability to deliver innovative, scalable solutions to the market,” says Chris McNabb, general manager of Dell Boomi. “Digital transformation requires companies to create end-to-end business processes by developing, managing, and rapidly deploying various types of integration flows across their best-of-breed cloud, on-premises and mobile applications. Dell Boomi AtomSphere makes this process much faster and easier to accomplish for our customers and partners.”
