FREMONT, CA: OpenStack, a provider cloud computing solutions, announces the release of Newton to enhance user experience for container cluster management and networking, reports Enterprise tech.

Newton is a cloud based open source software that enables enterprises to offer higher scalability, and resiliency to support a variety of workloads.

New Features in Newton

The new enhancement in Newton includes improved scale up or scale down capability across platforms and geographies. It provides stability to the operators due to the advancements in adaptability and self-healing. It develops a single cloud platform for virtualization, bare metals and containers making OpenStack easy to operate and fix with greater automation.

The new feature addresses more use of cases in organisations providing better speeds with new technology such as containers. Newton seamlessly integrates containers, virtual and physical infrastructure under one control plane.

“The OpenStack community is focused on making clouds work better for users. This is clearly evident in the Newton release, which tackles users’ biggest needs, giving cloud operators and app developers greater security, resiliency and choice,” said Jonathan Bryce, executive director of the OpenStack Foundation. “The new features and enhancements in Newton underscore the power of OpenStack: it handles more workloads in more ways across more industries worldwide. OpenStack is a cloud platform that ties everything together—compute, network, storage, and innovative cloud technologies.”
