CUPERTINO, CA: Seagate Technology announces the launch of two new flash innovations that enhances the storage computing performances of enterprise data centres. The products include a 60 terabyte (TB) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) solid-state-drive (SSD) and the 8TB Nytro XP7200. The new products have high performance rates and compromises of a network of HDD, SSD and other storage system products.

The 60TB SAS SSD enhances the configuration process of accommodating “hot” and “cold” data, enabling data centre enterprises to use the same HDD 3.5 inch storage. The drive has been designed in a way to create pathway for data centres to grow their capacity from 60TB to 100.

The 8TB Nytro can meet the increasing needs of the data centres, giving them an opportunity to grow without losing the ability to quickly process it. The 8 TB Nytro compromises of a single PCIe interface for high speed data transfers and the four separate controllers provide four times the faster services than the other SSD devices available.

“AccelStor’s core focus is on providing all-flash arrays that offer tremendous performance and reliability to meet the demands of the fast-growing cloud and enterprise markets. Critical to achieving this, though, is having the right building blocks — including exacting solid-state engineering and software innovation,” says Dr. Charles Tsai, president of AccelStor, Inc. “AccelStor works with Seagate Technology to seamlessly integrate our state-of-the-art Flexi Remap software technology with Seagate Nytro NVMe SSDs. The result: we’re able to translate SSD performance into complete all-flash arrays that help data centres extract the most value from their data.”
