Telenor Connexion looking to amplify its performance in the Asia-Pacific has taken a step ahead by forming a business development team in Asia-Pacific to meet the growing demand for Internet of Things (IoT) in the region. Similar to many emerging technologies, IoT also has witnessed a fast growth to become a technology of vital importance in the market. According to the Frost & Sullivan report, Analysis of The Internet of Things (IoT) Market in Asia Pacific, total Asia Pacific spending on IoT will continue to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 34% to reach US$ 58 billion by 2020.
As a big boost to Telenor expansion plans, the company has acquired the services of Mikael Lindholm to head its APAC operations. In this role, Lindholm will drive the business across sales, business development, partner strategy and development, and go-to-market strategies throughout Asia Pacific. Mats Lundquist, CEO at Telenor Connexion congratulated Lindholm after the announcement was made.
