SINGAPORE:  Veritas Technologies, a provider of information management services and solutions, secures a position as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup and Recovery Software for the year 2016.

Veritas technology enables customers to realize benefits whether backing up to the cloud, or protecting workloads in the cloud as its NetBackup Cloud Connectors simplify the move to the cloud with single-click integration for a wide range of major cloud service providers including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Nearline Storage, Hitachi Cloud, and almost any Amazon S3 compatible cloud storage platform.

The NetBackup Appliances provides seamless integration and fast deployment that scales with performance and provides integrated deduplication that reduces the cost of protecting petabytes of data. The 'store front' in NetBackup Self-Service empowers IT and managed service providers to deliver backup and recovery as a service to internal and external customers, whether on premise, or in a public or private cloud.

The NetBackup 7.7 also includes Copilot for Oracle, the protection and management of Oracle Database data allowing DBAs to independently manage backups on their own schedules, maintain visibility across all storage tiers, and recover from any available copy while allowing backup admins full visibility through NetBackup. The NetBackup Intelligent Policies automate discovery and policy based backups to reduce risk and ensure constantly changing VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V and SQL, and Oracle environments are always protected.
