NEWYORK: Zaloni, a provider of enterprise data lake management solutions, announces the release of Mica 1.2 for managing data in the data lake. Mica 1.2 enables businesses to control and discover data sets for better business insights.

Mica 1.2

Mica 1.2 Non-Hadoop connectors create a single-source metadata catalog to expand the “Logical Data Lake” and provide field metadata from outside the data lake. The users can divide their data lake into various zones based on data sets, processes, and policies. The Sandbox function in Mica 1.2 allows users to use the tool of their choice such as analytics and virtualization to enhance their experience. The administrator can deploy the existing single sign-on (SSO) solutions with the Mica platform to simplify the work process. The basic metadata can be searched without even logging in to Mica.

Mica 1.2 further expands the logical data lake of Zaloni integrating its “Bedrock Data Lake Management Platform” to further increase the functionality.

Bedrock Data

Bedrock removes the hurdles to build and manage powerful data in enterprises. It reduces the operational expenditures which help to generate more revenues in the businesses. It further organises and manages data and simplifies data transformation.

“Mica 1.2 supports Zaloni’s overarching vision for an integrated big data ecosystem, in which a central data lake ingests, stores and transforms data and can feed data back into a traditional data warehouse or visualization tools,” said Scott Gidley, Zaloni’s vice president of Product. “Mica 1.2 provides the intuitive UI and connections to applications that make it easier for more business users to do data analytics – and takes more of the day-to-day burden off of IT and development.”
