August 20186 To understand and resolve problems of customers better, businesses or enterprises have often turned to new and novel methods, agile being one of them today. With an aim to create useful products from a customer-centric perspective, the agile methodology has been imperative for businesses to think on their feet. Scrum, Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), and Crystal are some agile methodologies that have primarily changed the approach to software development. Amongst the mentioned, Scrum's popularity has soared due to its ability to manage complicated software, develop products using iterative and incremental practices. The fact that Scrum processes benefits enterprises or organizations by helping increase the quality of deliverables, providing better estimates while taking less time to create them, and being much in control of project state and schedule, enables that Scrum is taking over the classic Waterfall. Considering change an opportunity rather than a risk, agile methodologies have taken on the future. From having improved customer satisfaction, gaining a competitive edge in the digital era, enhancing the quality of processes and escalating productivity of IT teams, the agile approach to software development has had ripple effects throughout businesses. From sales and marketing teams to finance and HR, agile methodologies have had an impact on every department. Initially selling a product would take up to 18-24 months, now a product can be delivered every two to six weeks. Budgeting is also changing as products are being launched fast. Agile has also been changing the way people are hired, how work is assigned and how annual reviews are done. Apart from being a development practice, agility is an organizational change, prioritizing tasks, preventing teams from getting lost in a torrent of requirements. It's a way for businesses to translate their thoughts into action and bring out a blend of strategy and execution much faster. This is the essence of agile.Business organizations are increasingly tapping the value provided by Agile methodology, and as such, there is no shortage of Agile Solution Providers in the market today. Our goal with this special edition is to highlight the best-of-breed Agile Solution Providers that are shaping up the industry.Do let us know your thoughts.
