December 20196 It's out with the old and in with the new for CRM industry leader Salesforce as they announced that the more user-friendly and intuitive Salesforce 2.0 or Lightning, would be receiving useful upgrades while the Classic version will be forgoing several productivity-enhancing features. The features that are exclusive to "Lightning" include the customizable dashboard, calendar enhancements, Einstein, Snap-in-chat, and Smart Macros. This is a wakeup call for organizations to migrate from Classic to Lightning if they do not want to fall behind in the race for efficiency and effectiveness. Organizations need to adopt smart change management maneuvers for a smooth transition of their businesses. One more thing that organizations need to take notice of is that customers are now beginning to expect more seamless and connected experiences. It is no longer enough to deliver an experience that only takes into account one touchpoint. With customer data residing on multiple clouds today, Salesforce is enabling companies to deliver data-driven and personalized customer experiences through its customer data platform, Customer 360, which depicts a single view of the customer's journey with the organization. Also in the pursuit of delivering data-driven experiences, Einstein, Salesforce's AI-powered Sales Cloud, went through further enhancements with the addition of natural language processing assistant Einstein Voice. Salesforce continues to keep abreast of the ongoing mobile revolution as mobile technologies take center stage in sales force automation of an increasing number of sales organizations. Having laid a solid foundation for the future by bringing CRM to mobile devices, it is now further encouraging users to use the mobile interface by building native apps and democratizing Salesforce app development. As Salesforce's offerings continue to evolve hand in hand with changing customer preferences, it is crucial for Salesforce solution providers to stay abreast of each of these technological advancements. In this edition of APAC CIOoutlook, we are featuring a list of some of the most promising Salesforce solution providers across the world to assist organizations in selecting solutions that best address their business requirement and guarantee customer satisfaction.
