According to data from Synergy Research Group operator and vendor revenues for 2015 reached $110 billion, having grown by 28 percent. Although cost saving is yet to pan out, it is factors such as flexibility, agility, scalability and low per capita investment in infrastructure that propelled an increasing number of enterprises to make the transition from legacy systems to cloud. However, security remained the biggest deterrent for CIOs to adopt cloud computing. The APAC market has been leading the pack in terms of cloud adoption. According to an F5 Networks study, 58.6 percent of decision markers identified cloud as their first priority for the next 12 months. CIOs are looking to leverage the advantage of hybrid IT environments so as to usher in agility and flexibility while still maintaining security, control, and visibility. With a better understanding of cloud computing, organizations have gauged the actual benefits of cloud services in terms of driving business model innovation and experimentation without increasing capital expenditure or other risks. As cloud has been identified as a critical component for any business transformation strategy, APAC CIOoutlook's current edition brings to you a list of 25 Most Promising Cloud Solution Providers.
