While IaaS remains the largest contributor to this growth, SaaS closely follows; and the status quo appears to remain unaltered for the near future. The rapidly maturing SaaS market signifies that it has successfully overtaken the associated apprehensions which long acted as its inhibitors. The market is growing vertically. Although the horizontal expansion continues, the market is witnessing an increased demand for industry-specific solutions to tackle industry-specific challenges. As for the stability of the market, now even the mainstream legacy software vendors have joined the game. An increasing number of developers today are knocking the walls around their solutions down. This, obviously, is a welcome gesture that affords an open environment, which ultimately will add an extra boost to the industry. Additionally, growing demand for mobility, the rising clout of AI, and the IoT trend will serve as catalysts for the SaaS market. So, where does the APAC region come into all of this? Right at the center. Governments across this region are formulating multiple smart-city initiatives that will greatly rely on SaaS. A significant number of startups pop-up every year which want to stay nimble and not get anchored by the constraints of in-house software management. A sizeable lot of established ones have already adopted the SaaS culture or are preparing to do so. Native providers are trying to catch up. On the whole, growth potentials are abundant, and the market is bustling, and at times can get confusing. This edition is another step in our quest to help decision-makers arrive at calibrated business decisions regarding their technology needs. We present our "Top 10 SaaS Solution Providers 2017" with the hope of aiding you in your cloud adoption.Let us know your thoughts,Annie JohnsonManaging Editoreditor@apacciooutlook.comGrowth Opportunities are Abundant Clara MathewLane Adams Royce D'SouzaVikesh ShetAlfred MardinLouis BeckerRachael ClarkRoy ChowSelena James*Some of the Insights are based on the interviews with respective CIOs and CXOs to our editorial staff
