The computer marvellously beat Ken Jennings (74-time winner) and Brad Rutter (20-time champion) in a head-to-head competition. Lately, film studio 20th Century Fox had also called in IBM Watson to create the trailer for its upcoming AI horror, thrillerMorgan. Watson processed ninety minutes of Morgan, isolated ten scenes, and processed down a six-minute video in only twenty-four hours, while it typically takes around ten to thirty days to manually complete a trailer. Having already defeated human contestants in quiz shows and performing effective visual recognition of images, IBM's Watson had now become the first-ever AI to produce a film trailer.In addition, Watson has also made some incredible breakthroughs in science and technology proving that AI and its capabilities are indispensible. Recently, to prevent cyber-attacks, IBM came up with a cloud-based special version of IBM Watson. It has been trained on, what the company calls the "language of security" and can analyze researches on potential threats to spot malicious or suspect activity within a firm's computer systems. IBM Watson has had a huge impact and it will be interesting to see where the supercomputer takes us next. Delving further, IBM has also acquired the top slotbeating Microsoft and Accenturepertaining to deploying Blockchain technology across industries. And standing today, the firm plans to add to its forte, "universal quantum computers" over the coming years, as part of its IBM Q project.Quite evidently, the Big Blue is firmly positioned to constantly push boundaries of its strategic imperatives.
