A Creative Approach to the Gaming Industry

The Journey So Far

Our company is a global, multi-platform game publisher and we publish cross-platform games that are easily accessible on mobile, web, PC and console (including VR). Ever since we came into being in 2011, we have managed to bring gaming content to the global market as we have proven knowledge and experience in publishing games overseas. Our games have been translated into 16 different languages and published in more than 130 countries so far. They cover a broad spectrum and an array of genres such as fantasy, war strategy, RPG, simulation, action, puzzle, adventure, and range from globally renowned IP games to unique, high-quality indie games. The most successful amongst all the games that we published is RPG—Legend Online—that has attracted over 50 million players across the globe.

Crucial Elements in the Gaming Industry that has Evolved overtime

The gaming industry has evolved a lot in the past 10-15 years. In order to keep the gamers hooked to the game you have to think from their perspective. It is very important to think like an artist to spawn creativity while developing a game. If you do not consider this factor, then you may end up creating monotonous content that cannot capture the interest of the gamer. We need to plan ahead of time as it is a tedious task to design gaming characters.

I have observed that sometimes gaming characters are replicas of well-known cartoon characters—a marketing tactic that generates profits in the long-run.

Now, tools based on AI and ML will help analyze the users’ behaviors and suggest changes accordingly, so as to keep the gamers engaged

Role of AI or Higher Frame Rendering in the Gaming Industry

Factual data is critical; we frame our gaming strategies based on it, besides that, Big Data, Machine Learning (ML), and AI are also implemented in gaming. AI and ML are based on big data. If you do not have the data, you do not have the intelligence. So in gaming, if there is a lack of data, we analyze and try to make up for the lack of it. After which, we import the data into platforms provided by Amazon or GCP (Google Cloud Platform). They provide us with data warehousing and machine learning services. We import our data solutions into their services. Traditionally, we had to make amendments in the next season of the same game based on feedback, and sometimes we had to imagine the proclamation made by ourselves to improve the existing version of the game. Now, tools based on AI and ML will help analyze the users’ behaviors and suggest changes accordingly, so as to keep the gamers engaged. In ML, we just need to input the data and the model self-analyses it to learn what factors are essential. It may turn out to be the “game changer” in the near future.

A piece of advice for budding game developers

I will opine that game developer should pay more attention to data design; where you define the stages or growth path for the user. You need to analyze the user's mental flow and understand their challenges. Two significant elements steer the growth of your game. The first is the ability growth of the user. Apart from that, it is also important to consider the challenges that you bring to the user. For us, the ultimatum is to strike a perfect balance between challenges and gaming abilities, failing which, the player will quit either because of getting bored or disheartened by difficulties. Before launching a new gaming product or game in the market, you must remember that your game should have the potential to keep the player hooked. That will ultimately determine the growth of the game and in turn, your company. We strive to seek out and comply with game developers all across the globe, with the aim to provide the best of gaming experiences to users universally.
