Acare Technology
Unlocking the Potential of Technology in Respiratory Care

Acare Technology

Linda Cheng, CEO, Acare TechnologyLinda Cheng, CEO
Electronic sensors continue to make significant strides in various industries, turning streams of data into life-altering decisions. When it comes to healthcare, respiratory care in particular, sensor technology holds the potential for delivering and upgrading respiratory care and activating patient self-management. From reducing the burden of disease management to providing doctors with real-time information on medication usage and patient health to drive timely, evidence-based decisions, sensor technology opens the door to more personalized healthcare for each individual. Seizing this opportunity to understand medical conditions better and improve patient care, Taipei-based Acare Technology is at the forefront of empowering healthcare providers and patients with medical gas products, sleeping therapy, and SpO2 Diagnostic equipment coupled with sensor technology.

With Linda Cheng at the helm as the CEO, Acare Technology is creating ripples in the healthcare industry with its cutting-edge and reliable respiratory equipment. Having accumulated years of rich industry experience through various leadership roles, Linda leads her team at Acare Technology to offer supreme quality control systems, medical device and accessories in respiratory and hospital supply field.

Acare Technology’s arsenal boasts of a wide range of hand-held respiratory products, or contact meters such as Pulse Oximeter, SpO2 Probe Sensor, Medical Flowmeter, Oxygen Regulator, Medical Gas Outlet, Suction Regulator, and even CPAP devices and masks.

From infants and children to teenagers, adults, and senior citizens, Acare Technology’s dynamic products and hand-held devices cater to the diverse requirements of every age group.

In addition to designing and manufacturing top-of-the-line contact meters for seamless remote patient care, Acare Technology addresses yet another predicament that comes with it— maintaining quality of the sensor components within their devices. As Linda describes it, “Keeping quality as the prime focus, efficiency, and reliability of the sensor components define the performance and competency of our contact meters.” The company leverages a blend of innovation and skills to ensure the optical sensor components are regularly serviced and tuned as per the patients’ usage in order to generate accurate and reliable results.

What truly makes Acare Technology stand out in the industry is its ability to provide quick support and prescriptions to the patients that display a weak signal on their contact meters. The company then takes an instant action to send a notification to a qualified doctor or a nurse situated in the vicinity to perform a thorough diagnosis of the patient in need. “Unlike our competitors, our contact meters can spontaneously detect the signs of anemia in children and infants, and we would then dispatch medical professionals over to that location to treat the patient rather than making them wait,” says Linda. Governed by a mission of delivering unparalleled remote respiratory care across the globe, the company combined efforts with the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2011 to provide medical aid and over 20,000 contact meters for the people living in low-income countries.

In 2016, Acare Technology’s ISO quality management system was officially certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for displaying a high-level of quality control infrastructure. Today, Acare Technologies has made a name for itself as one of the top suppliers for hand-held respiratory medical products in Taiwan. The ISO13485 and GMP certified company led by Linda continues to deliver excellence with a touch of innovation in designing and supplying medical respiratory products and devices in an emergency medical service field.

With a significant 13-year-old presence across 118 countries around the world, the company aims to extend the scope of its respiratory products and contact meters further to treat insomnia patients and ensure proper sleeping habits. “We will continue to expand our comprehensive respiratory diagnostics to therapy including its key components DCBL motor across new verticals in the healthcare sector while maintaining compatibility with Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies,” Linda concludes.
