AIMS: New-Age Integrated Managed Services Solutions

,Cynthia Widjaja, CIO, AIMSCynthia Widjaja, CIO
Akin to many other developing countries, Indonesia’s small and medium-sized businesses recognise the importance of a managed service provider for critical IT functions, particularly email hosting, storage, backup and recovery, and network monitoring. Implementing strategic plans from the headquarters to the worksite can be challenging for enterprises as there could be several barriers (geographical and technological) which hinder a stable telecommunication network. This is where AIMS an Indonesian managed service provider (MSP) comes into the picture. The company provides advanced system integration solutions and services ranging from telecommunication infrastructure, on-site engineers, and suitable monitoring tools such that the clients can focus on their core business.

By specialising in the corporate market, AIMS delivers end-to-end managed services solutions with reliable support and performance. The company prides itself on building trustworthy relationships with partners from Europe, the UK, the Middle East, Japan, Korea, China, and Southeast Asia. By combining unique solutions from these partners with AIMS’s expertise and human resources, the company can meet its clients’ business requirements in Indonesia.
AIMS’s managed services solutions can be tailored as per the topographical conditions of the client’s worksite, a feature that sets it apart from the rest of the managed services crowd.

In addition to flexible managed services solutions, AIMS also helps customers improve their asset life cycle management practices. “With our tools, many things that would otherwise require an appointment with the IT administrator can be done remotely. This helps our customers ensure that their devices are always up and running,” says Cynthia Widjaja, the CIO of AIMS. With the wide range of AIMS asset life cycle management tools, clients can create configuration packages and manage multiple devices and operations simultaneously, increasing employee productivity.

A client case study to best describes the competence of AIMS managed services solutions is its interaction with a coal mining company in Kalimantan, Indonesia. With the mining pit far away from the headquarters in Jakarta, the client faced difficulties due to limited telecommunication connections. Moreover, they also faced issues regarding compliance with HSE (Health Safety Environment) standards, maintenance of servers and IOT devices, and, most importantly, the issue of retaining IT engineers on a worksite. After multiple failed attempts from several operators and local engineers to support the daily IT operations, the mining company approached AIMS for its expertise in the managed services field.

With our asset life cycle management tools, many things that would otherwise require an appointment with the IT administrator can be done remotely. This helps our customer ensure that their devices are always up and running

To meet the client’s demands, AIMS provided certified on-site engineers to maintain all IT-related devices and constructed a private network infrastructure to establish a stable internet connection inside the mining area. Using AIMS total managed services, the client could focus on their core business while increasing their productivity due to better IT management. In addition, AIMS also provided backup and replication of data from IoT and CCTV devices from the mining pit to the servers at the headquarters in Jakarta, which helped the client manage their IT needs efficiently.

To become a one-stop integrated managed services solution provider for businesses in Indonesia, the company has also been working closely with BPPT (one of the leading government research institutes in Indonesia) and several other contractors in the country. Moreover, the company’s team of certified engineers continually strives to provide the best in class advanced system integration solutions by delivering excellent customer service.
