ATEK Technology: The Video Conference Designers

“ATEK emphasizes on the importance of having the right information and knowledge on all levels from our partners to our customers and also internally where we strive for open communication at all times. Assumption is a very dangerous thing,” said CS Lee, Equipping itself with all the product knowledge, ATEK goes back to its partners anytime a new challenge comes up, rather than just assuming a solution. This strategy “helps ATEK learn new things” and has won the firm trust of its partners and customers alike.
We look beyond video conference hardware and provide a turnkey solution, ATEK Architected System Furniture, to properly and completely setup a conference room
To plug any communications or integration loophole that may arise in the solutions it provides, the company studies products outside of its own portfolio as well. This ardent desire for knowledge has rendered them certification from other manufacturers as well.
When it comes to audio visual communications, hardware is not the only challenge; a lot also depends on the ambient environment. CS Lee points out that given an interior designer’s limited knowledge about video conference, the room at most times becomes unsuitable for the desired purpose due to issues such as uneven lighting and echoing. “We look beyond video conference hardware and provide a turnkey solution, ATEK Architected System Furniture, to properly and completely setup a conference room. Our customized mobile rack that we developed as an alternative to Polycom and Cisco is a part of this endeavor.”
To highlight his firm’s strengths, CS Lee goes back to one of ATEK’s customers who required a complete conference room customization. The client, one of the Malaysia’s Service Providers, asked for an immersive telepresence table design along with additional audio visual tools integration. This project, he adds, has been a great learning experience for ATEK from product and design perspectives “but most importantly from a project management perspective.”
Since the short span of its inception in 2009, ATEK has evolved as a well-regarded player in the regional market. With decorations such as Polycom UC partner of APAC 2010 and Asia Top Business Award 2016, ATEK today is the youngest player in the Malaysian audio visual and unified communications industry and ranks amongst the top three. Moving ahead the company is all set to launch a Cisco powered cloud conference platform. The platform will bridge the gap between a stationary conference room and an increasing number of mobile users. “With this cloud platform, we aim to reach out to non-conventional video conference users. This will also be a platform for trainers and speakers to sell their courses online, live. We have already spoken to several partners from Europe and the USA as well as in Asia and we are looking forward to exciting times ahead.”
