    The interview room was surprisingly pleasant than the monotonous atmosphere normally observed. The confident, assuring, and a seemingly credible candidate who sat before him amazed the manager. Although he could not verify the candidate’s credentials in real-time, the optimistic answers and responses provided by the candidate cleared the doubts hovering in his mind, urging him to consider the candidate without having to sink deeper into the customary background check of the candidate. Two weeks later, the company observes that the candidate is short-tempered and prone to passive-aggressive temperament. Moreover, the candidate had faked his previous employment tenure and credentials. Time and again, hires from across multiple levels including leaders and C-suite have been found to misrepresent information to employers during hiring. In India, resume lies increased to 15 percent in 2017; an increase of 48 percent compared to the previous year.

    “Validating an ex-employee’s credibility for the background check requested by new employers is an unproductive and uneconomical task. WorkAttest™ aims at mitigating this challenge by reducing the time and resources expended in this endeavor,” explains Trehan, addressing one of their client’s case studies - a significant BPO spending $21,000 annually on a team that answered calls about incoming verification requests from other employers. Collaborating with AuthBridge, the BPO redirected the screening requests to WorkAttest™ and reassigned the team dedicated to answering phones from different organizations. The centralized database further allowed the BPO to understand the reasons behind employees quitting their organizations through the screening requests sent from new employers, in-turn, streamlining the BPO’s interdepartmental operations to reduce attrition.
