That’s not all, educational institutions are significantly benefited from BC Net’s services, combined engaging content, in an attempt to enhance the value to the learners. “The company has also partnered with city governments to provide WiFi in public places; the internet is now easily available to all, free of charge,” states Cruz.

“We have deployed wireless technologies, VSAT and TV White Space, all integrated into one platform, for disseminating internet bandwidth into remote and underserved areas identified by the government,” adds Cruz. In a recently signed contract with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, BC Net has provided managed services to support the government’s Pipol Konek Free WiFi. This will enable citizens in 20 provinces to use free WiFi for an hour a day in most public places.

At present, BC Net is looking forward to focusing on radios that do not require line of sight, in order to improve wireless connectivity in the rural areas. “In addition, we plan to partner with new content providers to enhance the value proposition of our prepaid card offerings,” concludes Cruz.
