BI MATRIX: Pushing the Boundaries Low Code/No Code Development

As the world becomes progressively digital, companies seek innovative solutions to keep up with the rapid technological changes. One solution that has emerged in recent years is enterprise low code development, which allows businesses create applications with minimal coding knowledge. Leading the enterprise low code market in Korea is BI MATRIX, a company providing services to support intelligent work processing.

Its flagship product, the Automated UI Development (AUD) platform, is a low-code integrated UI development solution with a ‘Software Robot’ enabling end-users to build systems without complicated coding skills.

The software consists of three parts: the DB bot for automating SQL coding for data processing, the UI bot for automating HTML 5 screen development, and the process bot for automating JAVA programming. These functions enable users develop business systems using drag-and-drop techniques and minimized coding.

“Our high-tech solutions and extensive project experience meet diverse corporate needs. We always strive to create user-friendly products that provide valuable insights for all and not just experts. With our simple, speedy, and smart solutions, we are committed to meeting customer needs,” says Young-Geun Bae, CEO of BI MATRIX.

One of the standout features of the AUD Platform is its unique “one-click conversion of Excel-designed reports into an HTML 5 web report” function, called MX-Grid. This allows even business officials to swiftly make HTML 5 web reports by easily designing a report form in Excel and simply clicking the conversion button.
The AUD Platform also includes critical modules for security, like data authority management, log-in management, and system resource management functions for system administrators, which are often weaknesses of most low-code solutions.

BI MATRIX’s low-code development solutions solve numerous challenges faced by clients. AUD Platform caters to the workforce shortage in the IT sector, as it requires fewer developers than traditional system development, translating to a reduced labor cost. The Excel-based low-code development functions also minimize the need for SQL and JAVA coding and shorten the total system implementation period.

The AUD Platform also increases system maintenance efficiency, enabling non-experts to reflect requests through Excel-based low-code maintenance functions. This results in greater system utilization efficiency, even as the business environment changes, and system modification issues arise.

We always strive to create user-friendly products that provide valuable insights for all and not just experts in the field

BI MATRIX’s AUD Platform has garnered over 600 distinctive references, including Samsung, LG, and Hyundai Motors. It implements around 100 BI and UI/UX system projects annually for various clients, from global companies to banks and government organizations. Among them, the most notable use case is the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF) budget control system in Korea, called KORHAS.

In the KORHAS project, BI MATRIX built an integrated data-based budget policy decision-making supporting system, applying cutting-edge technologies like AI and Big Data to quickly respond to national economic crises like COVID-19. The system explores the potential risk assessments and environmental changes at the national government level based on data, 5G network, and AI (DNA) technologies.

The automated low-code solution functions enable BI MATRIX to improve development productivity, reducing project time and programmers’ costs. One junior-level programmer developed 60 reports in three weeks, highlighting the efficiency AUD Platform provides.

BI MATRIX impacts the low-code development market with its innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. The company is expanding its business in the global market with upgraded product competitiveness, enlarging its local agency network, and promoting solutions in Japan while preparing to enter the U.S. market. With the AUD Platform and its product portfolio coupled with 70 corporate references in Japan, the company is set to transform how businesses develop systems, increase efficiency, and drive growth.
