CESAN: Redefining Warehouse Management through Cloud Technology

General Manager,Daniel Chen, CESANDaniel Chen, General Manager
With over 20 years of experience in the logistics industry, CESAN’s team has redefined warehouse management through its innovative cloud-based solutions. Since 1999, the team has supported more than 40 customers by integrating information systems seamlessly with its cloud-based warehouse management system (WMS) to deliver practical and effective solutions.

One of its key differentiators is its leasing model. By offering the WMS platform as a service, CESAN enables clients to avoid the traditional capital expenditures associated with on-premise systems. This model significantly reduces the need for clients to invest in servers, software licenses, and IT personnel, resulting in immediate cost savings. In addition, the system's cloud infrastructure is highly scalable, allowing clients to expand their operations without needing additional hardware or software upgrades.

"Our leasing model results in cost savings typically associated with traditional systems, such as purchasing equipment and managing IT infrastructure," says Daniel Chen, General Manager.

CESAN's WMS is designed to handle every aspect of warehouse management, from receiving and putaway strategies to order processing and shipment. The company's fully integrated WMS platform ensures data flows seamlessly between various modules, reducing errors and enhancing operational efficiency. Once an order is confirmed within the warehouse, it is automatically transferred to the transportation management system (TMS), which manages truck schedules and ensures timely deliveries.

The platform's integration goes beyond just WMS and TMS. It includes a business automation system (BAS), radio frequency (RF) system, quality control (QC), and even automated guided vehicle (AGV) support. Its comprehensive tool suite empowers clients to streamline the entire logistics process, including automated inventory management, dynamic order allocation and real-time shipment tracking, all within a unified, easy-to-use system.

"The Integrated cloud WMS solution enables clients to manage and streamline their warehouse and transportation operations," adds Daniel.

With a fully integrated system, clients benefit from dynamic planning function. CESAN TMS consolidates truck schedules and optimizes timing, while the check-in system tracks shipments to ensure that every delivery is executed smoothly. This helps clients reduce lead times, minimize human error, and improve supply chain efficiency.

CESAN's cloud-based WMS offers unmatched flexibility. Traditional WMS systems are often limited to specific platforms and devices, restricting users to certain operating systems or requiring expensive hardware installations. Its system supports cross-platform functionality, running seamlessly on Windows, Apple, and Android devices. This flexibility also extends to devices-users can access the WMS through desktop computers, tablets, mobile phones, and even televisions.

CESAN teams' extensive experience in the logistics industry is reflected in the diversity of its client base. It spans various sectors, including consumer goods, electronics, medical, and catering.

Our leasing model results in cost savings typically associated with traditional systems, such as purchasing equipment and managing IT infrastructure

Some of its notable customers include global brands such as Unilever, Nike, Nestle, ASUS, and Abbot, all of whom have benefited from CESAN's tailored solutions. Its flexible approach allows it to customize the WMS platform to meet each client's unique needs, whether it involves complex order management, automated picking, or real-time inventory tracking.

The platform, equipped with cutting-edge features such as automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) and responsive web design, enables clients to optimize warehouse operations with greater precision and efficiency, regardless of location or operating environment.

The flexibility of its system was evident when CESAN successfully executed a complex three-phase implementation for Taiwan's largest logistics company in 2021. The first phase involved transitioning the client's system to CESAN's cloud-based WMS in just one month without customizations. The second phase, completed over three months, integrated the WMS with the client's TMS, enabling seamless coordination across multiple trucking companies.

In the final stage, the firm connected the WMS to the client's AGVs and ASRS, fully automating inventory management and order processing. Despite the project's complexity, the implementation went live smoothly, underscoring CESAN's expertise in delivering tailored, end-to-end solutions for even the most challenging logistics environments.

As CESAN continues to drive innovation in cloud-based warehouse management, it remains steadfast in helping businesses achieve operational agility. With its ability to deliver tailored, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly into even the most complex logistics ecosystems, CESAN has proven to be more than just a service provider—it is a strategic partner that empowers organizations to overcome logistical challenges and unlock new levels of efficiency.
