Simplifying Logistics for Businesses

Logistics and supply chain management may not seem as glamourous as other aspects of management but are equally critical to the functioning of an organization. With the advent of Just-In-Time manufacturing, logistics has assumed a pivotal role in managing businesses. Coolasia had the prescience to launch their operations in the year 2005 when GPS or Global Positioning System was still in its infancy. “Aided by an explosion in demand for logistics, we grew rapidly and currently enjoy the first-mover advantage. With intimate understanding of the logistics and supply chain market, our team is able to anticipate demand and build manpower and knowledge in advance,” says Dennis Lee, CEO of COOLASIA.

Logistics may seem simple on the surface–after all, it’s nothing but transporting goods and equipment from one place to another. However, along the way, organizations face multiple challenges and seek the assistance and expertise of COOLASIA to solve them effectively and efficiently. “Organizations lose control over their assets, fleets and workforce. Failure to monitor and manage these three components poses a serious threat to the bottom line,” says Lee. “It is our endeavor to contain and eliminate these losses,” he further adds.

COOLASIA has a 3-level scale-up approach to optimize business operations in the logistics domain. The flagship product of COOLASIA is the FleetManager software. It tracks and monitors fleets’ locations in real-time, enabling companies to manage and optimize resources. The FleetManager software records up to eighteen months of trip history, empowers businesses to create business rules, and generates professional fleet reports. Packed with more than seventy powerful features and thirty unique reporting templates, it is currently the most flexible and scalable fleet management software in the market.

Organizations lose control over their assets, fleets, and workforce. Failure to monitor and manage these three components poses a serious threat to the bottom line

Businesses, which have advanced requirements such as route optimizations, job dispatching and scheduling, can opt for APPTIMICE software. Supply chain and logistics clients can utilize SCM software –FLEETonCLOUD, which is an end-to-end supply chain management software consisting of sales quotation module, planning, deployment, driver commission to finance/billing and management reporting. COOLASIA has its own showrooms, workshops, training centers, helpdesk support and software development teams spread across three countries. They produce user self-help videos on YouTube and knowledge content on their website for learning purposes. In addition, COOLASIA conducts monthly hands-on classroom style training in their centers and runs workshops dedicated to vehicle drive-in services. Having their own in-house resources translates into a powerful advantage over their competitors.

“We have a highly competent and capable knowledge-based team to support our customers. On the infrastructure front, we own a workshop spanning two thousand five hundred square feet that can house three large vehicles simultaneouslyside by side for installation purposes. This gives our customers first-priority service, quality workmanship and peace of mind. They know that their fleet is safe in our hands.” This doesn’t seem like a boast when you consider that COOLASIA received the “Most Promising SME 500” award in Singapore in 2013. COOLASIA is the “Scale-Up” ICT partner of Info-Communications Media Development Authority of Singapore (iMDA) for iSPRINT program since 2012. In 2015, it became the ICT partner for the ICV program for fleet management services offered by SPRING Singapore.

COOLASIA envisions itself as an IOT company rather than a pure play Fleet Management provider. The future plans include enlarging their regional presence and the portfolio beyond just assets, fleets and workforce. COOLASIA is confident in extending their services to last mile fulfilments, warehousing operations and logistics software. “We look to develop a future-ready software-as-service platform that is affordable to most Small-and-Medium customers,” says Lee proudly. “With a superior talent-retention and acquisition program in place, I am very confident that our team is ready to build compelling logistics and supply chain solutions for tomorrow,” he concludes.
