CyberPower Systems: The Pioneer in Energy-Efficient, Green IT UPS & Power Protection Solutions

MD,Brad Andrews, CyberPower Systems OceaniaBrad Andrews, MD
“The ability to deliver small footprints of high power density through our products and solutions to curb challenges in data center management is our strength,” begins Brad Andrews, Managing Director, CyberPower Systems Oceania. Since its inception in 1997, the organization has strived toward delivering energy efficient power protection solutions through its product suite which includes racks, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and power distribution units (PDUs). Cyber Power is leading the way in green IT & energy efficient power protection systems and solutions. “We are very focused on green IT globally, from our packaging to our components to our end life cycle material disposal,” says Andrews.

A key factor that differentiates CyberPower Systems from many of its energy management competitors across the globe today is their dedication to green IT in every step of its product and solution development lifecycle. “CyberPower Systems has acquired a patent for a unique feature called GreenPower which is an essential ingredient in our UPS technology. This design helps our consumers save up to 75 percent of their UPS running costs compared to competing brands,” mentions Andrews. The company engineers power management solutions that ensure high power quality at the site they are deployed regardless of the input power available at the time. CyberPower UPS Systems upgrade the output of onsite generators by filtering power to enhance quality—a unique factor of the company. Andrews adds that the company provides more than 100 different models of power distribution units with various degrees of sophistication, which includes basic, smart, and even managed PDUs. Recently, the organization engineered several racking enclosure solutions and wall-mounted rack cabinets customized for the needs of the data center market.

The company’s solution suite is tailored to meet the requirements of multiple sectors such as education, businesses, and government.

CyberPower Systems has been quite successful in addressing concerns plaguing the retail sector for a long time. For instance, a slight surge or spike in power can prove fatal for retail transactions carried out on the point of Sale (POS) equipment. An uninterruptible power supply, in such a scenario, not just secures deals, but also safeguards POS devices from unforeseen damage. The solution provided by CyberPower Systems to the Australian public transport service initiative, Victoria Transport, bears testimony to its ability to solve critical enterprise issues. Remote management of mission-critical equipment was a vital need for the public transport organization.

CyberPower addressed the concern by rendering a smart management solution that ensured secure asset monitoring over a network.

The organization’s R&D facilities are situated in Taipei, Taiwan, and Minneapolis, U.S., respectively. This dedicated team of professionals gathers client requests and leaves no stone unturned in the successful development and deployment of cutting-edge solutions, within a span of a few months. Unlike most competitors, CyberPower Systems offers essential power management software components free of cost in addition to the attractive prices to make it a cut above many organizations offering energy management solutions. CyberPower’s products and solutions are developed in its plush, state of the art, in-house manufacturing facility, sprawling over 275,000 Sq. Ft., situated in Shenzen.

CyberPower Systems is continually involved in the analysis of the latest market trends and design offering strategies to utilize their benefits. Andrews is of the opinion that the invention of Lithium-Ion batteries is a major technological breakthrough in the battery technology realm and utilization of their benefits are vital for the amplification of energy management efficiency and CyberPower’s innovation drive, in general. “Our research and development wing is continually investigating the feasibility of Lithium-ion batteries in our products to achieve better results,” he informs. The organization has earned the ISO 14001 and IECQCO80000 recognitions for effective implementation of environmental policies within the organization. The company adheres to compliance standards such as Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), which alone speaks volumes about its commitment towards the environment.
