ETP Group: Revolutionizing Retail Industry with Omni Channel solutions

Naresh Ahuja,Founder &CEO, ETP GroupNaresh Ahuja, Founder &CEO
Customer loyalty in the retail industry is paramount. Given the fierce competition, retailers—both brick & mortar and online firms—should be more than willing to go the extra mile to fulfill customer expectations and provide a memorable shopping experience. Adopting fast evolving retail technology becomes the obvious choice for them. Advanced retail software allows retailers to understand their customers’ ever changing needs and purchase behavior to provide a uniform shopping experience and maintain synergy across their retail and online channels. “There is a fast growing demand for a cohesive strategy and technology platform to address all the channels and provide consistent customer experience across channels,” says Naresh Ahuja, Founder and CEO,ETP Group, a provider of retail solutions. It is therefore by no wonder, that Omni Channel solutions have become hot picks among retail service providers today. One such leading product is the Omni Channel Retail Suite V5.5 offered by the ETP group that helps retailers integrate their in-store POS systems with their online shopping websites.

Founded in 1988, the organization initially was focused only on developing bespoke business applications. After developing a number of packaged applications, it tied up with the Swedish ERP Company—Intentia—to integrate and sell their ERP Movex and built a successful global outsourcing business. In 2005, ETP sold the Intentia business and focused all its resources on its own Retail Solution (then, ETP V3).
Adapting to major transformations in the retail ERP industry, the company expanded its solutions to cater not only to POS, but also to CRM, omni-channel, promotion planning, merchandise planning, supply chain management and established strong integration with leaders like SAP and Oracle. Today, over 25,000 stores run on the ETP system serving 180 million retail consumers, selling over 15 billion dollars of merchandise in 20 countries. This makes ETP a market leader in Asia, India and the Middle East.

ETP Group works closely with each of its clients and helps them transform their businesses. The ETP system helps retailers integrate POS, CRM, promotion planning and merchandising and online channels enabling them to scale up their businesses and provide a transparent and holistic experience to customers. Naresh adds, “The most important value addition we have brought to our customers is that they now have full transparency of information. Retailers get to know their sales, inventory, customers as well as the performance of the stores, merchandise and employees. They can also forecast the demand more accurately.” The company’s enterprise class software coupled with its domain experience of over 25 years have paved the way for its clients to achieve success over the years.

ETP Group works closely with each of its clients and helps them transform their businesses

Starting by serving just 200 odd stores in 2005, today more than 25,000 stores across 22 countries run on ETP systems, serving 180 million retail consumers annually. Close to 55,000 people use the company’s solutions every-day, bringing in an annual turnover of more than $20 billion. Going forward, the company plans to build a global partner network as well as invest heavily in research and development along with focus on Omni Channel solutions, Mobile Solutions, Big Data analytics and offering all of these through the cloud. Further, the ETP Group foresees to venture into the US and European markets in the coming years.
