Since 2015, the Asia-Pacific e-commerce market has seen explosive growth. The market is flourishing with eCommerce platforms and vertical eCommerce players competing to better serve customers. However, merchants need to tackle new demands of the customers. The region’s diverse and fragmented geographic, digital, and financial landscapes present sophisticated challenges that impede growth even as the market expands. Global brands must partner with the right local solution providers to formulate and execute strategy that will up their success rate in this critical market.

With advanced technologies and experienced operations team, Hong Kong-based Fung Omni Services provide end-to-end eCommerce services to multinational brands to launch and grow their eCommerce business in the Asia-Pacific region. The company is an Omni-channel eCommerce service provider, and a subsidiary of Li & Fung Logistics. “We are the only enabler with operations, technology, marketing and logistics experience in SE Asia, Greater China, Japan and Korea. With nine offices in Asia and extensive experience, we can bring brands’ O2O and eCommerce business to the next level the technology” says Michelle Leung, CEO of Fung Omni Services.

The firm has rich experience as an eCommerce Trade Partner (TP) for leading brands and boasts of immense industry experience, geographical presence, and high success rates in Asia that includes Greater China, Japan, and Korea. With a world-class IT infrastructure, Fung Omni Services enables its customers to grow their eCommerce business with confidence in scalability and security. The company provides regular management reports on data analytics, KPI reporting and competitive intelligence. Its 360-degree approach of data analytics facilitates strategic decision making and effective store management.

Plus, Fung Omni Services help its clients with online marketing strategies to drive traffic, unique visitors, and conversion to their online stores. The company’s AI-supported customer service provides useful chat analysis such as out-of-stock analysis and customer-sentiment analysis, which unlocks sales-rescuing opportunities and enables predictive service actions to enhance customer experience.
During this ongoing pandemic, Fung Omni Services supported many brands to convert their traditional retail business into eCommerce and make up for the shortfall. “Our goal is to help our clients expand into new eCommerce markets quickly through our endto-end service; right from marketing to the end delivery of the products,” says Tony Lau, Managing Director, Fung Omni Services.

We are the only enabler with experience in SE Asia, Greater China, Japan and Korea. With nine offices in Asia and extensive experience, we can bring brands’ O2O and eCommerce business to the next level

For instance, an American footwear brand wanted to sell their products in the southeast Asia region. Since there were multiple marketplaces with different jurisdictions, it was quite complex for the brand to handle everything by establishing just one control center or a business unit. Fung Omni Services came in and helped the client by integrating all these different functionalities and capabilities in a one solution package by providing the technology, e-store operation, and logistics. The client coordinated with Fung Omni Services through the single business center and sell across multiple countries. Ultimately it led to significant cost savings in operating the business and Fung Omni Services also resulted in sales growth, fans growth and top 3 ranking in marketplaces for the brand. Similarly, another American footwear brand was looking to build up its capability to sell in Japan and Korea but it did not have any entity or business exposure in those countries. Fung Omni Services provided them its logistics service and marketplace integration technology. Moreover, it enabled the client to have one inventory sitting in Japan to import and sell to consumers and eventually expand into Korea as well.

“We are an integrated technology provider and the operating partner for many brands in these different markets,” states Leung. These two things go hand-inhand and provide a unique value proposition to every client. Based on the feedback from the customers, Fung Omni Services is always keen to improve its services. The firm also utilizes AI more in analyzing the transactional data to identify greater business opportunities. “We support clients to achieve operations efficiency through the technology advancement and our in-house technology capabilities,” adds Leung. In terms of more tight integration with the local logistics, the company is developing more technologies and data analytic tools to improve the overall performance. “We enhance the end-to-end process from customers placing the orders to getting the physical parcels in their hands, plus the return and refund process, in an integrated O2O environment” concludes Lau.
