    GeeTest: The CAPTCHA Experts

    Follow GeeTest on :

    CEO,Wu Yuan, GeeTestWu Yuan, CEO
Today’s businesses are highly susceptible to financially motivated cybercrimes. This has resulted in companies installing high friction solutions to reduce the risks. However, as these solutions can often disrupt business operations, it becomes crucial to choose a solution that can maintain the balance between improving the quality of traffic (managing the proportion of fraud traffic) to enable companies to efficiently monetize traffic and combating the hidden and profit-driven bot threat.

    That’s where GeeTest can help.

As a pioneer in the bot management space, GeeTest combines biometric data and AI to deliver a better user experience. The company offers international bot mitigation solutions and services, including CAPTCHAs, with advanced AI and ML models to protect over 320,000 websites and apps worldwide, including Imperva, Axie Infinity, miHoYo, Binance, Nike, and more, and issues over 1,400,000,000 requests every day. GeeTest, which has been established for ten years, has ranked top with 52.4 percent market share in China with long-term innovation and progressing product updates in the cyber security field.

According to February 2022 statistics, GeeTest's average coverage of top companies in 10 major industries in China has reached 52.40 percent, and has been rising steadily.

To help enterprises improve the effectiveness of traffic monetizing, GeeTest has recently launched the New Bot Management solution, in which a new concept and product line were introduced to fight against bot threat—Bot Management 3 Shields. These consist of behavior, identity, and device verification solutions.

Meanwhile, for better behavior verification, GeeTest has made a major upgrade to their flagship product GeeTest CAPTCHA. “Today, weare leading the market with our fourth-generation of GeeTest CAPTCHA—Adaptive CAPTCHA— a more secure, convenient, intelligent, and global solution for trusted traffic ensuring both ease of use and security at every step of the online customer journey,” says Wu Yuan, the CEO of GeeTest.

Adaptive CAPTCHA features a seven-layer dynamic security strategy that changes with the patterns of bot attacks and transforms to 4374 security strategies per defense cycle.
This increases the cost of cyber attackers by 3.714 times. To suit every client’s security demand, GeeTest Adaptive CAPTCHA allows clients to configure CAPTCHA challenge frequency, difficulty, and types for suspicious requests. It offers three modes (Intelligent Mode, Invisible Mode, Direct Platform Integration) to integrate CAPTCHA service with the client’s security system and support six CAPTCHA types. Further, it facilitates quick customer responses and enables concise communication flow for easier integration while supporting up to 78 languages.

Through the dynamic product, GeeTest has been able to assist many clients with migrated bot attacks over the years. For instance, one of the world’s largest e-commerce platforms and the second-largest smartphone manufacturer is a GeeTest client since 2016, which was having an issue stopping fake new account creation and ticket and digital Red Packets scalping since 2016. After implementing GeeTest CAPTCHA, the client immediately saw a 50 percent reduction in fraudulent new accounts created as compared to the previous solution within a month. GeeTest accuracy rate increased to over 95 percent, and user complaint rate reduced by nearly 100 percent.

The Text-based CAPTCHAs previously used by the client e-commerce platform often led to complaints from users due to the poor user experience and the long verification time when users registered or logged in. GeeTest invisible CAPTCHA mode is a good solution to this problem, which has significantly reduced single-user verification time to 0.4s, increasing the conversion rate of e-commerce platform user registrations. At the same time, the proportion of real users has increased by 30 percent (the bot proportion reduced by 30 percent accordingly) through integration with GeeTest, which has improved the risk control system of the e-commerce platform to a certain extent.

Having carved a unique niche, GeeTest is now actively working on exploring overseas business. The company’s new bot management solution is the latest step forward in cyber security, and that’s the path that they want to take in the near future. GeeTest now owns 40 patents, covering novel technology and reflecting its commitment to ongoing research and development. Recently, GeeTest has been named as a selected vendor in Forrester Now Tech: Bot Management. Q4 2021.

At the same time, GeeTest accessibility mode CAPTCHA, Audio CAPTCHA, which is developed for people who have vision loss and is always dedicated to raising awareness about the value of freedom, is online now. GeeTest has designed a simple, safe alternative to let users using our service preserve accessibility for all with full Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.

Today, We Are Leading The Market With Our Fourth-Generation Of Geetest CAPTCHA—Adaptive CAPTCHA— A More Secure, Convenient, Intelligent, And Global Solution For Trusted Traffic Ensuring Both Ease Of Use And Security At Every Step Of The Online Customer Journey

“Bad bot traffic keeps taking up internet traffic, and online businesses must identify high-quality traffic. GeeTest’s ‘3 Shields’ for companies is instrumental in helping businesses identify good traffic and block bad traffic today and in the future,” concludes Yuan.
