T he facility management sector is very competitive, and organizations are continually looking at reducing operational costs and increasing profit margins. With IoT in use, the future of facility management appears more convenient and economical than ever because it helps in enhanced value-added services, vast service scope, and improved client experience. IoT in facility management provides real-time data to the facility manager and supports the occupant to get the best-in-class facility at minimal costs, apart from reducing energy reliance and optimizing the workforce of facility management companies. Among the companies leading in the sector is Gooee that provides a unique ‘full-stack’ data and analytics platform using the software, hardware, and cloud infrastructure to unlock smart buildings market at scale. A stand out innovation of Gooee is the ‘Single-Pane View’ that allows users to peel back the layers of a building, its systems and data, bringing it all together, giving a 360-degree visualization on building data all in one place.

Gooee’s cutting-edge solutions include BUILDVIEW, SPACEVIEW, and LIGHTVIEW. The BUILDVIEW is an integrated building identity and optimization solution that optimizes a building’s performance by saving energy and creating a more engaging occupant experience. The environmental and behavioral analytics data collected from spatial sensing within the building is then used by SPACEVIEW to provide a greater understanding of the space throughout an entire building down to an individual desk. The lighting control is monitored by the LIGHTVIEW that has been designed mainly for retail, hospitality, and warehousing environments. It can be accessed through an API and interoperable with all major BMS solutions.

The solutions provided by Gooee are particularly beneficial for facility managers who look for a lighting control system to reduce energy consumption

Gooee’s solutions are particularly beneficial for facility managers who look for a lighting control system to reduce energy consumption. Gooee’s data-driven wireless lighting control system offers enterprise-scale lighting management and enhanced Bluetooth meshing across all lights that enable reliable control across hundreds of fixtures. Additionally, it also provides both mobile and web-based control by blending ease of use and sophisticated lighting control.

The company’s unique products are built on elements that include sensing, control, and gateway. The custom-engineered sensing products have been designed to capture environmental data and human activity, along with the capability to monitor LED chip performance. When facing downwards, the sensors detect motion, direction, footfall and ambient light levels, and operating temperature. While facing upwards, the sensors monitor light output, color temperature, quality, and operating temperatures. Additionally, the sensors have also been designed for discrete integration into a variety of luminaires, thereby providing a convergence of technology infrastructure within buildings, using lighting-as-a-host.

Gooee has developed a Wireless Interface Module (WIM) to control the luminaires. The WIM communicates with the LED driver and sensing application-specific integrated circuits to provide control over the luminaire and send data back to the cloud. Likewise, the Gooee gateway is a multi-protocol utility that is capable of singularly managing up to 150 nodes. The sensors, WIMs, and gateways allow for over-the-air updates and adjustable calibration parameters for future-proofing.

Gooee has been delivering unique solutions since it was founded in 2014 by Andrew Johnson, the CEO of the company. Johnson built Gooee into a high-growth technology business with a global reputation for industry-leading innovation in the IoT-enabled smart building space. The company is backed by a dedicated team that is continuously developing new features, data visualizations, and expanding its capabilities. It continues to evolve to provide a rich suite of tools and aid clients in energy savings, building efficiencies, and discover new opportunities for revenue generation.
