Infobuilder Technologies: Gearing Enterprises for the Digital Age

Enrico Ibana,Managing Director, Infobuilder TechnologiesEnrico Ibana, Managing Director
Today’s fast-paced business environment is leaving organizations perplexed about the basic aspect of operations which is managing Enterprise Information and Physical Documentation. This aspect of business management proves instrumental in maintaining a sound collaboration and communication to companies, internally as well as externally. Challenging the norm of document processing and management, Document Management Systems (DMS) have proved to be a monumental success, and the Philippine-based company, Infobuilder Technologies, has been a prime enabler of the technology in the industry for over nine years and counting.

“We have laid our focus exclusively on OT-Documentum. OT-Documentum is the most stable, scalable, and reliable Content Services Platform in the market. This has greatly helped us gain recognition and success in DMS arena,” says Enrico Ibana, Managing Director of Infobuilder. Considering the fact that the concept and application of DMS is still new to businesses in the Philippines, Infobuilder provides three main techniques of managing documents, which are provided as a pre-configured template: Digitize, Streamline, and Enablement.

Infobuilder is on a mission to digitize physical space for better organization, storage, and retrieval of documents. By offering scanning services and digitized processing solutions through OpenText Capture Solutions, effective transformation to paperless business operations allows for access to information. This provides both an improvement in productivity as well as security.

With Streamlining, electronic workflow processes are enabled to improve the client’s internal collaboration and communication which results in good rapport, efficiency, and cooperation among employees and departments are inevitably strengthened and simplified.

The company is integrating its DMS services with the world of mobile applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) with a major focus on Compleo as its framework

Under the tab of Enablement, Secured portals become a means of presenting documents for compliance and electronic transactions with timeliness, accuracy, and quality. In this practice, service providers, government agencies, and regulators are able to provide convenient and efficient ways of engaging their customers, stakeholders, and the public.

Infobuilder has engineered an exclusive product called Compleo, certified to run on OT-Documentum, which is tailor-made for document compliance. It carries out all compliance-related processes in the web, ranging from form application and submission, client on-boarding, and issuance of licenses and certificates. Compleo is packed with rich functionalities for document compliance and workflows for enabling paperless processing.

Being in the first leg of its implementation, the DMS industry landscape of the Philippines is facing the issue of budgeting. On most cases, the cost of building DMS infrastructure is more expensive than the actual cost of implementation and licensing due to higher demand for storage and network bandwidth; but by delivering OT-Documentum in pre-configured templates, these costs and implementation efforts are eased and made predictable.

Infobuilder continues to leverage its experience and expertise in DMS to cater to the requirements of local companies including insurance companies, banks, government agencies, energy and power companies, broadcasting, pharmaceuticals, and oil refining companies.

For a government agency, Infobuilder built a web-based system that enabled the public to apply online for company registration eliminating the need to commute and wait on long queues. Paperless document submissions are received by a series of workflow tasks with online compliance facility to the ease and comfort of the applying public. Infobuilder has also enabled an insurance company to go paper-free with its lifecycle, policy issuance, benefits, claims, and policy maintenance – confirming the flexibility and powerful range of OT-Documentum through Infobuilder’s initiative, skills and experience.

With the current trend of going mobile, the company is integrating its DMS services with the world of mobile applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) with a major focus on Compleo as its framework. Infobuilder aims to deliver document processing with mobile options to drive productivity, improve connectivity, and ease the access to unstructured information.
