ioFABRIC: Achieve Business Continuity through Data Virtualization

    Steven Lamb,CEO & Co-founder, ioFABRICSteven Lamb, CEO & Co-founder
A reflection of the current global scenario makes it quite evident—businesses that don’t have their data secured and accessible will lose productivity. Business continuity has become synonymous with data continuity and three major obstacles stand in the way of achieving this. Malicious attacks, natural disasters, and the cost and complexity of storage are the three prime factors that have most affected the ability to have data continuity for businesses worldwide. Therefore, it is now imperative for the new enterprise to adopt newer software-driven data management platforms and look for vendors who can assist in making their data storage resilient and secure against the stated factors.

This search for the perfect partner could essentially culminate with ioFABRIC, an award-winning software-based data storage company and your local IT reseller. ioFABRIC provides state-of-the-art AI-driven multi-cloud, multi-site data virtualization solution that delivers near instant business continuity of a company’s data and applications – meaning that data is available round the clock.”

A few years back, Steven Lamb, the CEO and Co-founder of ioFABRIC, had a revelation. He realized that traditional storage was slow, expensive, and not really scalable for the new enterprise. “I knew companies would need always-on, always reliable, and affordable solutions that delivered superior performance for applications without expensive proprietary hardware.

With our solutions, organizations can optimize their data storage capabilities across multiple clouds and data centers for business continuity and to streamline their disaster recovery strategies

After over four years in development we have released arguably the most disruptive technology that the storage industry has ever seen.”

Imagine, an AI-driven solution that ensures your data is always-on, always available, and always fast without needing expensive, proprietary hardware. In fact, the solution can use all your existing storage hardware, regardless of storage vendor, make or model.

The firm’s AI solutions address two customer types: mid-size firms that need reliable backup and recovery (and soon archival) with recoverability from a ransomware attack in minutes, and large organizations that require true business continuity without downtime or business disruption even after a catastrophic problem. These large organizations want applications to perform at top levels without expensive proprietary hardware.

Recollecting one experience with a client, Lamb speaks of Aeontech—one of Australia’s leading IT asset management firms. They used multiple storage vendors which presented significant storage-related challenges such as vendor lock-ins, performance issues, reliability, and compatibility between different hardware products. In addition, all their hardware needed renewal and replacement with newer, expensive devices every four years that significantly escalated the IT expenditures. But with ioFABRIC’s platform, Aeontech was provided with a unified virtual storage pool that seamlessly aggregated all the company’s data from multiple storage vendors’ hardware devices, thereby eliminating all storage silos, vendor lock-ins, and the expensive four-year renewal cycles.

ioFABRIC functions in multiple countries through channel partners, and now focuses on strengthening its hold on the market through fully functional branches. “Already present in North America and Australia, we are expecting to open up offices in SE Asia and Europe by the first or second quarter of 2018. This will further expand our footprint and enable us to extend our solutions and help more businesses leverage their data for higher profitability,” concludes Lamb.
