Over the years, the business world has been seen implementing steps to transform the ways by which HR tasks are performed in attempts to keep up with rising employee counts and the evolution of technology. Businesses have been scrutinizing this changing phase to achieve the best out of human resources technology – software programs that will allow automating human resources. Moreover, it is one investment that can help lead any organization into the future and one that should not be ignored. Implementing a proficient HR and Payroll system needs strong commitment and high integrity in building a better HR system to improve business performance. Carving a niche in this sector is JPayroll—a payroll system that confers flexible calculation method and updated features complied of latest standard and regulation such as BPJS and PTKP for the Indonesian market. The system delivers easy accessibility of all information in real time and also handles large enterprises with multiple sites without losing its flexibility in HR processes. “With web base apps, we can consolidate multiple companies, multiple site and locations in the company group by applying different HR policies. JPayroll efficiently manages its entire payroll process by integrating HRIS function as a one-stop-solutions-provider,” states Andry Kosasih Kho, CEO of JPayroll.

JPayroll, with its three levels of system authorization, can easily manage data access by authorizing person within the structure of the organization or giving grades to ensure confidentiality of the data.

With function, grading and structure authorization, companies can also appoint PIC to access the data which further provides advanced approval by adding matrix functions horizontally, vertically or crossing. “Our licenses are based on the number of employees. It allows customers to easily choose the type suitable for their company needs,” elaborates Kosasih. JPayroll, however, has divided its license into three categories - Lite Edition for companies with maximum one hundred employees, Standard Edition with maximum four hundred employees, Enterprise Edition Premium with maximum one thousand employees and the Enterprise Ultimate version can be used for more than one thousand employees.

“We design a platform with parameter based functions. With these functions, users can create formula allowing the system to carry out the calculations. It’s like creating formula in a spreadsheet that is attached to the functions in the system to generate calculation. This further simplifies the process of adapting the changed management policy in the company”, describes Kosasih. For certain country such as Indonesia, JPayroll adjusts deduction of the employee benefit by just changing the formula. It applies the same with the government tax calculation also. The in-designed formula can also be applied for calculating bonus, incentive, overtime and deduction such as personal loan. JPayroll’s system has electronic interface which is capable of connecting devices and to manage access area authorization. Some customers use JPayroll’s job allocation function and cost center function to report them in their ERP system. Moreover, the Employee Self Service portal also provides conveni-ence to employees in submitting their leave data, checking their work schedule, payment status, and approval.

JPayroll also possesses geo-location function for employees attending outdoor duties. It is planning to add face recognition function for attendance. While talking about JPayroll’s future plans, Kosasih concludes saying, “We believe HR solutions must run together with IT technology and we, at JPayroll use IT to enhance security on payroll processes without scarifying flexibility and transparency in our HR functions.”
