    CIO VendorMoses Wong, Managing Director
Every organization relies on its resources to drive growth. A truly successful organization always has a highly-motivated staff that is committed to achieve the company’s core, long-term objectives. There may be no written rules to help an organization deliver positive business outcomes, but an unwavering focus on core values can make a big difference. An exemplification of this phenomenon is Kasturi Technology, a company that specializes in providing complete ICT and UCC solutions. This Singapore based firm has been built over the foundation of six core values: Integrity, Accountability, Efficiency, Transparency, Flexibility and Respect. These enshrined values set Kasturi Technology’s standards of practice far apart from its competitors.

Having spent several years in various management roles, Moses Wong, Managing Director, Kasturi Technology expounds, “It is important to explicitly define the core values from which we develop our culture, our brand and our business.” In a short span of time, the company has built lasting trust among its clients who are operating across all the major verticals. Its esteemed client list includes Common wealth Capital, Red Hat, AVIVA, Coca-Cola, Ingram Micro, Euro fragance, Cardinal Health and many more. The organization’ scommitment towards client success has earned Kasturi Technology countless awards and certifications from the industry such as Life Size Authorized Partner, Vidyo Premier Reseller, Best Business Model Award (FCCS), Huawei Sales Excellence Award, Cisco Specialised Partner, Alcatel Lucent Authorized Partner, Attained BizSafe 3 and BizSafe Progressive Award in the sub sequent years of 2015 and 2016.

Unified Communication: New Ground , New Opportunities

As businesses spread out across geographies, communication and strong collaboration among stake holders becomes essential for the smooth functioning of the internal processes. Moreover, the sudden rise of BYOD, wireless technologies and the increasing demand for work from remote locations has put extra pressure on existing modes of communication, and, rightfully demand upgrade to newer technologies that rely on Unified Communication and Collaboration(UCC) solutions. Some of the key components of UCC such as VOIP, Soft-phone, Instant Messaging, Presence information, Web & Video Conferencing and Desktop sharing are demonstrated to increase staff productivity across organization. UCC as a technology essentially converges all aspects of communications—voice, video and messaging—together with other enterprise applications software to provide a seam less flow of information over all mediums of communication. Incepted in 2004, Kasturi Technology specializes in providing video conferencing solution that heavily leverages on UCC technologies. Over the years, the company has evolved into an ICT solutions provider, bringing convergence in the Unified Communications, IT and audio visual integration to businesses ranging from SMBs to enterprises in various verticals.
Fok Kai Kin, Chief Operating Officer, says,“ We are certified integrators for all major brands of video conferencing equipment vendors and provide multi-vendor solutions depending on business needs and cost factors.” The company understands the importance of an always-connected work space in a competitive market place, and under stands how a multi-channel communication eventually help organizations experience enhanced productivity and satisfaction in communicating both internally and externally. Kasturi Technology helps clients in building their entire network infrastructure from the ground up. Its localized data centre handles big data applications with several visualized servers. This infrastructure is aptly built on a converged model with all forms of communications running through a complex UCC system. The setup fully optimizes all possible communication channels, including localized in-premise deployments as well as remote sites operating in retail outlets located in different regions. Clarence Cheang, Biz Development Manager, explains, “We distinguish our selves in the industry through our consulting expertise.” While most competitors are purely technical, Kasturi Technology has positioned it self uniquely by providing both technical as well as consulting services—a prudent combination that the industry demands.

Kasturi Technology’s recent merger with Activeo, a leader in customer relations technologies and customer experience management consulting, has further broadened the spectrum of Kasturi's offerings in Unified Collaborative Communications. The consulting expertise of active allows Kasturi to merge all different aspects of technology integration and provide seamless end- to end solution to the clients. Raymond Tai, Technical Manager, explains, “This is in line with our motto: ICT Convergence Simplified.” It allows the organizations that are seeking to improve and redefine their communication experience, to reap the benefits of their investments sooner.

The Raison D’être for the Unrestrained Growth

Kasturi Technology is a certified integrator for all major brands of video conferencing equipment vendors such as Polycom,Cisco, Life science, Vidyo, Radvision, Huawei, Aver, and Acano. It has recently assisted a conglomerate in the F&B vertical to design and build an end-to-end solution addressing their IT and communication needs at its new Head quarters in Singapore.

The company’s core competency lies in its ability to tackle customer’s requirements by understanding their businesses and operational needs, beside advising and suggesting them the most suitable solution. Moses adds, “We would then design the solution with the emphasis on addressing the business workflow and processes and propose technology that best fits the existing workflow and processes instead of forcing the businesses to conform to technology.” This approach has ensured that customers get the best experience and improvements from the proposed solution with minimal changes. The company's 'Less on the products and more on expertise' approach brings immediate value to the customers. Activeo specializes in UCC since 2000, and 17 years of Kasturi technology's expertise in dealing with video and audio visual equipment remains the pillar that reinforces the group's expertise. Today, the company not only implements innovative solutions but also designs them, offers consulting to the customers, and even develops internally dedicated scripts to make sure that the solution fits perfectly to the need of the customers. The company plans to focus on expanding its customer port folio in Singapore, and the group Activeo are committed to bring many newer skills to the organization.
