KURANDO Inc: Boosting Operational Efficiency through Workforce Optimization

Representative Director,Kazuhiro Okazawa, KURANDOKazuhiro Okazawa, Representative Director
KURANDO drives digital transformation in warehouses with its data-driven systems designed to optimize labor use and improve operational inefficiencies.

Traditionally, logistics sites maintain extra staff and resources due to unpredictable workloads, leading to inefficiencies and high costs. Companies with tight budgets often seek affordable solutions but struggle to find options that were both cost-effective and easy to operate.

KURANDO solves this challenge by offering services that balance cost and ease of use. Its comprehensive suite integrates three core services—Logimeter, Logiscope and Logiboard—to efficiently measure workforce performance.

The Logimeter effortlessly tracks how much time each worker spends on different tasks from the moment they clock in until they leave. Logiscope consolidates this data into clear, preset reports for easy analysis. These reports help managers to quickly grasp the operational status of the warehouse without having to sift through raw data. Logiboard assists managers to compare their plans with actual performance, allowing them to adjust their strategies in real-time. Whether it's the middle of the month or middle of the day, this tool support that plans stay on track even when unexpected changes occur. The systems can function independently without needing to connect with other services or software, allowing for straightforward implementation.
Clients can use them intuitively with minimal technical expertise and reap the benefits of streamlined operations.

“We hope to increase the number of warehouses where on-site operations are carried out without waste or strain,” says Kazuhiro Okazawa, representative director.

Early in his career, while proposing solutions to logistics sites, Okazawa noticed that many facilities had systems in place for inventory management but lacked tools to manage the workforce. There were no comparable systems to track and assess worker performance and attendance, leaving warehouses without crucial data on productivity and operational efficiency. Even when data on productivity and operational efficiency were measured, the accuracy was often low. The recent surge in e-commerce has intensified workloads in warehouses and exacerbated the shortage of operators, driving a shift towards more effective utilization of operational resources alongside automation.

KURANDO was founded to address this critical gap by developing its Logimeter series. The innovative and affordable SaaS solution aimed at accelerating digital transformation in warehouses, making advanced operational management accessible to a broader range of businesses. Within its first three year on the market, the product quickly gained widespread adoption, with over 500 centers implementing the service.

We hope to increase the number of warehouses where on-site operations are carried out without waste or strain.

KURANDO ensures that the onboarding process for its services is as streamlined and user-friendly as the product itself. When a new client signs up, they can start using the system in just over two weeks. This rapid setup is accomplished without the need for on-site support staff, ensuring both efficiency and convenience.

Keeping monthly fees low and eliminating initial setup costs, KURANDO makes its services financially accessible to a wide range of clients. They can confidently adopt these solutions as it offers a two-month free trial period, requiring no financial commitment upfront. During this period, its dedicated staff manages the master design consulting and initial registration on their behalf. Notably, over 95 percent of trial users choose to convert to full contracts, underscoring the effectiveness and value of the solutions.

Driven by its mission to elevate warehouse operations through valuable insights into worker activities, KURANDO has rapidly expanded its presence across logistic sites in the Asia Pacific region. Leveraging advanced technology KURANDO has become a trusted partner optimizing operational efficiency leading to improved profitability.
