    LogisFleet: Optimizing Logistics

    Dennis Lee, Founder & CEO
Success in an entrepreneurial journey requires equipping oneself with knowledge and wisdom gained through firsthand experiences and hard-earned skills. Perhaps the best part of the journey itself is to overcome commotions and contradictions and lead the team to sail through these predicaments toward favorable business outcomes. Dennis Lee, founder of LogisFleet a fleet management company, believes that a leader should not only resolve today’s problems but should also be prepared for tomorrow’s challenges. In a recent interview with Dennis Lee, we discuss how the tenacity to look beyond the status quo to bring disruptive ideas resonates in his illustrious career, from being a salesman to founding LogisFleet. Today, being at the helm of LogisFleet, he is helping the logistics industry traverse through the complexities to achieve their business goals.

In your conversations with the logistics industry participants, what are the major pain-points that are discussed, and how does LogisFleet address them?

I am acquainted with the uphill battle that small transport organizations face in their fleet management and logistics operations. With several standalone and off-the-shelf software, transport businesses find it arduous to handle their logistics operations, comprehensively. These cash-strapped companies usually rely upon basic ERP solutions or spreadsheets to conduct their business that hampers their overall productivity. Since inception, LogisFleet is committed to helping small and medium-sized transport businesses around the world optimize fleet operations by providing them a single scalable logistics platform.

Currently, with online sales soaring and brick and mortar retailers looking to improve the speed, accuracy, and quality of the delivery process, it is imperative for transport businesses to have maximum visibility into every phase of their logistics operations. Our all-encompassing logistics platform seamlessly manages every stage of the supply chain operations, connecting air, sea, and land transportations.
Various modules such as CRM, ERP, warehouse and inventory, human resource, billing and finance, reporting, and business intelligence are combined into a single platform to optimize fleet operations.

LogisFleet platform comprises a web-based fleet management solution that goes beyond just managing fleet, to streamline workflow, measure and optimize fleet performance, and facilitate business growth. As an entry point to a plethora of logistics solutions, fleet management solution allows businesses to track their fleet location in real time, monitor vehicle status, find the best route to the destination, and track vehicle movement and maintenance , visual view of the streets and liability of unsafe driving. From proactive route planning to final proof of delivery, the fleet manager can master last-mile logistics and operate at optimal efficiency to ensure perfect fulfillment from warehouse to customer's door. The fleet manager also receives job dispatch and electronic proof of product deliveries on their mobile device instantly.

Please shed some light on your unique Consultative and Collaborative Strategy?

Besides providing real-time fleet visibility, LogisFleet also offers Logistics Planner, a unique solution designed specifically for four different vertical markets, namely e-commerce delivery, last mile fulfillment, inbound travel, and waste management industry. Logistics Planner takes a tailored approach to cater to the specific process flow for each industry, proactively.

We Guarantee Success for Clients through Our Core Values— Innovation, Expertise, Leadership, Collaboration, and Excellence

For instance, in the waste management industry, there are more than 36 different combinations of job types for assigning waste bin delivery and collection. Logistics Planner calculates and designs auto-dispatch systems based on multiple arrays of decision matrix not only limited to delivery of empty waste in required locations but also for replacement bins for recycled metals and wood, including single trip, multiple trips and round trips back to incinerator plants. These matrix tables are further analyzed and optimized for different delivery and collection zones, vehicle types, driver availability and suitability for the job assignments, all done without human intervention, ultimately saving huge costs for clients.
In essence, providing a hassle-free logistics experience is part of LogisFleet’s DNA. We guarantee success for clients through our core values—innovation, expertise, leadership, collaboration, and excellence. LogisFleet takes a unique customer-centric approach by conducting pre-development consultancy which helps them identify the source of challenges specific to client’s logistics functions. Dedicated consultants at the company work closely with the clients and help them implement the right solution to ensure smooth logistics process. Their consultancy services also include mind-mapping with key stakeholders and wire-framing and prototyping, allowing users to assess the new automated logistics system.

What according to you is LogisFleet’s key differentiating factor?

At the core what differentiates LogisFleet is its industry knowledge acquired from the undertaken projects, which makes it a trusted partner in the industry. The firm has achieved several milestones over the last decade including the promising SME 500 awards from the Small Medium Business Association Singapore for aiding small logistics companies with its subscription, consultancy services, and custom projects to improve their overall operations strategy. Our solutions and services are aimed at delivering great user experience, exceeding customer expectations as a result.

How does the future look like for the company in the next 12-18 months?

As the logistics world evolves, the demand for anytime access from anywhere, using mobility and other prevalent technologies is on the rise. LogisFleet continues to stay true to its philosophy of contributing to a highly automated logistics ecosystem where self-driving vehicles, drones, and robots take the centerstage. The company is developing software to interact with robots that can be used by major transport businesses worldwide. After becoming one of the leading logistics software providers in Singapore, LogisFleet has opened two new offices in Malaysia and Indonesia to expand their market reach and R&D capabilities. They also have plans to venture into Vietnam and China markets this year. In the journey, my role as the CEO of LogisFleet would be more of an influencer having the vision of building a great work culture, fostering leadership in the team, and implementing end-to-end automation across systems and processes.
