Marlabs: Predictive Analytics & Edge Solutions for Industrial IoT

    CIO VendorRaj Reddy, MD
Manufacturers across industries are rapidly turning to Industrial-Internet-of-Things (IIoT) solutions to meet their business needs through intelligent and automated actions predictively. IIoT is all about creating an environment where information from machinery, plant floor, and even supply chain is captured all along in real-time and turned into actionable insights. One of the organizations to dominate the IIoT solutions landscape today is Marlabs. The IIoT and AI platform developed by the company monitors industrial machinery and undertakes predictive maintenance by deploying smart sensors and actuators in manufacturing plants. Raj Reddy, Managing Director, Marlabs adds, “IIoT is one of our core focus areas, where we offer end-to-end services to the large industries.”

The company deploys IoT solutions based on two key strategies: IoT platform based solutions and behavioral IoT development. In a manufacturing facility, Marlabs installs smart sensors, nodes and gateways and inducts the customer to Marlabs' next generation IIoT and AI platform. Huge volumes of data sent by the sensors are accumulated and processed by the company’s big data IoT and advanced analytics layers to predict the behavior of the machinery and derive valuable insights. The security and latency issues are taken care of by integrating edge analytics and advanced safety capabilities in the platform layer. Reddy elucidates, “To a prospective customer, we can demonstrate the tangible value that our solutions bring to the table by leveraging our Sense+Connect and mAdvisor platforms.”

Marlabs' IoT lab carries out cutting-edge research on IoT solutions and solves some of the toughest industry wide challenges

Marlabs' IoT lab carries out cutting-edge research on IoT solutions and solves some of the toughest industry wide challenges. Varying speed and scalability needs of the IoT systems are among these grave challenges today. The company solves this problem by deploying custom built solutions and by scaling them up attuned to a specific set of connected ecosystems. Generic requirements such as monitoring health and environmental parameters are also delivered using customized solutions. For instance, Marlabs has developed a digital Airline IoT solution for an Airline customer.

Unlike the big players—who offer pay-as-you-go, Marlabs offers custom designed IoT platforms and solutions, which are tailored to client's needs and invariably prove to be cost effective in the long run. Marlabs' custom designed digital IoT transportation platform, for instance, takes care of a plethora of carriage industry use cases and is one of the most cost effective implementations in the market today.

For a life sciences company that needed to digitize and connect all its laboratories and devices across the world, Marlabs built a customized digital IoT life science platform. The platform connects all lab devices and monitors health parameters real-time. An innovative LabHub AI bot designed by the company acts as an intelligent gateway for the lab devices to connect with the secure IoT cloud platform.

The company has also developed a context driven content publishing platform targeting retail market. IoT devices monitor customer behavior and send data to Marlabs' cloud platform, where they are picked up by the Data Analytics layer to analyze and find deterministic patterns. Insights from customer data are then used to publish personalized content, with coupons, promos, and discounts on specific items. So far, the company has served clients from across the world and plans to expand its reach further. “We welcome businesses to come and experience our industry-leading manufacturing, intelligent factory, and smart IoT solutions,” enunciates Reddy.

Marlabs LLC & Health DataRoof LLC announce partnership

The partnership would help health-care organizations vertically integrate with Cloud/AI solutions to unify stakeholder experiences across the value chain and launch new business models

PISCATAWAY, N.J. and CHICAGO: Marlabs LLC & Health DataRoof LLC will partn... ner to help customers quickly transform to extended digital business models and plug-ins, transact, collect, share data, and collaborate with their ecosystem partners in a seamless, secure, reliable, private, and compliant manner. This is expected to drive operational efficiency, reducing costs, increasing stakeholder satisfaction, and improving overall business performance.

Rising medical and administrative costs and budget shortfalls are threatening the survival of health-care entities and their ability to serve their constituents. The devastating impact of pandemic exposed the fragility of these organizations, having cut them off from their stakeholders. Only select organizations have been able to change the way they worked and partnered/collaborated across their ecosystem. However, these collaborative technologies only delivered partial business values, and that too in a siloed approach. Our joint solution is focused to address these challenges effectively and in quick time.

Marlabs & Health DataRoof will combine vertically integrated Cloud/AI capabilities. This will enable a shared data infrastructure platform between individuals, organizations, and ecosystem partners to drive their business profitably and build the foundation for new business models and value creations.

"We have most complete health-care data on our platform and in-built workflow capability, powerful proprietary algorithms, and real-time AI driven analysis and insights enable superior clinical and financial outcomes. We believe these outcomes would be significant drivers to raising the bar on health care and in delivering competitive advantage," said Sharat Rastogi, Chief Revenue Officer, Health DataRoof LLC.

"Utilizing our 3,000+ global workforce—including highly experienced technology, platform, and industry specialists—from the world's leading technical universities, Marlabs will provide implementation, cloud migration, hosting, and management for Health DataRoof platform customers. Our partnership will enhance our service capabilities and business outcomes for health-care clients," added Sandeep Warikoo, SVP, Health Care BU, Marlabs.

He is also the Co-Founder of AppliLog, a Supply Chain Management Software Company and Customer Experts, a Business Development Consulting Company. Company Co-Founder and current CEO, Siby Vadakekkara, will transition to the role of Chairman.

Collins’ appointment comes after an exhaustive search to recruit an exceptional leader who resonates with the cultural values of Marlabs. Siby stated, “I congratulate Tom on his new role. Throughout his career, he’s been instrumental in shaping go-to-market strategies, winning marquee clients, and transforming teams into hyper-growth organizations. Revered in the industry for his strategic leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, Collins holds a diploma in business administration from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.

“It’s an honor and great responsibility to lead Marlabs”, said Collins. “I was drawn by Marlabs’ exceptional client base and its reputation for accelerating enterprise digital transformations. I want to especially thank Siby and Matt Kinsey, Managing Partner at Marlabs’ investor BV Investment Partners, for trusting me to take on this role,” Collins stated about his appointment.

Marlabs has been on an accelerated growth path ever since its partnership with BV Investment Partners, continuing to deliver high-value and high-impact services to clients across pharma and life sciences, manufacturing, and retail as well as banking and insurance verticals. It acquired Extentor Tquila in 2015 to strengthen its Salesforce platform capabilities and earlier this year announced its expansion into LATAM with the acquisition of the Brazil-based Monitora Soluções Tecnológicas, enabling it to access new markets for growth, offering near-shore capabilities to clients while deepening technology capabilities.
