As digital transformation sweeps across the world, the global corporate landscape demands a high level of innovation and proactive approaches to better handle the ever-transforming market dynamics.

Combining more than 30 years of innovation and an unrivalled understanding of the Philippines’ technology landscape, MDI has helped corporations and government institutions achieve their digital transformation goals. Established as an information technology (IT) solutions provider and strategic consultancy firm, MDI has built robust competencies in the areas of infrastructure, cloud computing, software development and IT operations (DevOps), big data analytics, managed services, API economy models, and next-generation internet security. “Our objective is to push the envelope on how digital solutions can transform organizations while helping them realize their growth potential,” says Myla Villanueva, Managing Director, MDI. “We achieve this feat by enabling our clients to leverage both digital and physical assets with brand aspirations to create powerful customer experiences.”

Started as a systems integrator in 1988, MDI today stands as a trusted digital transformation partner of leading enterprises in the telecommunications and banking sectors and government agencies.
The company has built a strong customer base that includes Globe Telecom, PLDT- Smart Communications, UnionBank, LANDBANK, Philippine Clearinghouse, PhilHealth and Ayala Land to name a few.

Our objective is to push the envelope on how digital solutions can transform organizations while helping them realize their growth potential

MDI has played a key role in guiding organizations towards innovative business models and building roadmaps for technology investments. MDI spearheaded many firsts in the local IT industry. These include the first nationwide internet protocol-based networks in the 1980s, the first mobile application value-added services, the first broadband wireless telecom company in the late 1990s, and the first Managed Private Clouds and fully digital bank branches. Innovation beyond running the 'business of up time’ is the key driver for MDI. It’s an integral on-premise cloud provider and a renowned expert in transforming businesses into agile workplaces while ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and better bottom-lines for its clients.

“The differentiating edge of MDI over other service providers is its team’s ability to think from a client’s perspective and determine that the arrangements are not only measured based on static data alone but rather focus on the aspects that contribute toward enhancing business values,” explains Villanueva.

Drawing on the strengths of its reliable pool of experts, MDI keeps up with global trends through strategic partnerships with the world’s technology leaders, Dell and VMWare to name a few. These partnerships have helped MDI to drive a specialized Managed Private Cloud offering for its customers that allows them to spend more time innovating on their core competencies rather than being engaged in keeping the lights on.

With an ongoing geographical expansion plan in motion since 2014, MDI is moving into other domains and lead the diversification of use cases. “We intend to work with our clients as partners to ensure that they stay ahead and harness the power of these new technologies as we’ve done consistently through the years,” says Villanueva.
