Metaswitch Networks

Metaswitch Networks

CEO,Martin Lund, Metaswitch NetworksMartin Lund, CEO
Evolving over the years, cloud technology is undergoing novel transitions—providing further impetus to the technological world. Today, such transitions have kindled a buzzword called “cloud-native,” which is resonating strongly throughout the cloud-powered businesses. What is cloud-native? Well, it is an approach to build and run software applications in the cloud with the use of containers, microservices, orchestration, and infrastructure that is expressed in codes. Unlike traditional cloud-based software, cloud-native software enables faster development and easy deployment, along with scalability and improved margins. Bug-eyed by these benefits, every industry is hustling to embrace this approach, and the telecom sector is not an exception. Moreover, with traditional cloud software, telecom companies are drifting to control the increasing growth of traffic driven by mobile and video. Dismayed by this technical impediment , most of these enterprises are seeking for the best cloud-native solution provider. And, to their view, they could only see Metaswitch standing in silhouette among the other solution stacks. Being a global leader in cloud-native communications software solutions, the company is envisioned to seamlessly innovate the telecom market. At least that is the position of Martin Lund, CEO of Metaswitch, who is poised to be the driving force of the company. “Innovation is something we all like to talk about in the tech sector. At Metaswitch, we don’t just talk about innovation, we do it every day,” says Lund.

The award-winning company ignites innovation through its wand of well-vetted solutions. Having said this, Metaswitch offers a wide range of mobile solutions for 5G core, voice over LTE, voice over Wi-Fi, multi-persona, messaging services, virtual IMS and open service creation.
These diverse solutions are cloud-native and are delivered using virtualized network functions (VNF), which can be deployed to an end-to-end user across public, private and hybrid clouds. While the telcos buckle up for the 5G storm, all these solutions are designed for scalable and high-performance 5G use cases. As much as 60 telecom companies that are servicing more than 500 million subscribers leverage Metaswitch’s groundbreaking mobile solutions.

Innovation is something we all like to talk about in the tech sector. At Metaswitch, we don’t just talk about innovation, we do it every day

Aiming to disrupt the unified communications (UC) market, the company is also developing solutions for UC service enterprises. This includes cloud-native solutions for mobile native unified communications, group communications and collaboration, hosted unified communications, contact centers, and SIP trunking. With the help of these discerning UC solutions, Metaswitch has sparked a 35 percent growth rate among its customers. The Martin Lund led company also caters its solutions to fixed-line service providers. In the fixed-line package, the company offers solutions for network transformation, consumer VoIP, IMS, robocall blocking, and voice interconnect. These solutions are helping fixed-line network operators evolve to a converged core delivering voice, video, and UC to consumers and businesses across fixed and mobile broadband.

Metaswitch’s contribution to the telecom industry does not end at its solutions, but it is also developing products to help network service providers to combat the technical impediments. These products are cloud-native and offer a scalable network functions that give service providers the tools to stay relevant in a fiercely competitive market.

What makes Metaswitch’s products and solutions reliable is its collaboration with the global equipment manufacturers, resellers, and software developers like 3M, Cisco, Dell, and many others. These world-class organizations augment, deliver and extend the company's products and solutions for mobile, fixed-line and converged network operators. In the end, developing seemingly profound products and solutions, and deeply committed to innovation, Metaswitch is poised to be the ally telecom companies are seeking for.
