Mpplication: Leveraging SaaS for Rendering Conference and Event Management Solutions

CIO VendorMansfield Wong, Chairman & Founder
Today, Software-as-a-service has become a prevalent model for new businesses as it brings scalability and ability to generate more revenues. Though technically they have been around in the market for decades, in recent times SaaS companies saw a surge in popularity with major players showing how productive SaaS model can be in this age of internet and technology. Working on the same tangents is Hong Kong-based Mpplication—a firm that leverages Software as a Service (SaaS) model to provide conference management solutions to ensure flexibility, performance, and security in its portfolio of offerings. “With over a decade of experience in providing corporate event and conference management software products, we have successfully planned over 370 events, conferences, road shows, along with 20,000 meetings, presentations, and tours in 2016,” says Mansfield Wong, Chairman and Founder of Mpplication.

Mpplication's flagship product, iConference, delivers a centralized platform to integrate the entire lifecycle of a corporate event such as registration, scheduling, marketing, and post-event analytics. The offering incorporates highly stringent security standards and compliance policies of its clientele in various domains such as international financial corporations, event, and travel management companies. iConference also enables automatic software upgrades with minute hindrance to the business operations. The product is highly configurable and can be easily tailored to any existing applications and systems.

The firm’s acumen to customize its solutions according to the existing structure and in compliance with its clientele policies sets it apart from its competitors.

With a competent professional team and global presence in 13 countries, Mpplication has been providing best-in-breed solutions with rigorous security infrastructure for over a decade now. Apart from setting high standards of security, the firm also provides 24X7 customer support systems through phone and email. The company responds promptly to customers’ problems and delivers solutions for any specified feature enhancement upon customers’ request.

Quoting an example, Wong explains how Mpplication assisted a premier investment bank in Hong Kong/China that was facing difficulty in organizing events and conferences owing to its various manual processes on premises. Their existing legacy solution was time-consuming and inaccurate, and therefore the bank was looking for a solution that could automate its outdated processes such as registration, scheduling, marketing, and reporting within compliance standards. With the assistance of Mpplication, the firm achieved a fully automated process starting from the build-up of event website, registration, attendance profile, meeting scheduling with automatic conflict checking, marketing real-time reporting to post-event surveying.

To stay relevant and competitive in the market, which is always subjected to constant change, the firm regularly provides onsite and online training and support on key product features. The online training program includes a step-by-step guide on users’ computer whilst the onsite program provides tailored training to meet the specific needs of the market. Mpplication also seeks inputs from its clients to improve the existing program and help them to stay relevant and competitive.

Since its genesis, the firm is committed to delivering new standards of excellence by providing superior conference management solutions and maximizing the potential of all its clientele. Mpplication further intends to release a new proprietary module, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (AB&C) owing to the high customer demands resulting from heightened regulatory scrutiny and enforcement. This module, slated to release by the end of 2017 is built upon the existing iConference platform of Mpplication. This product will enable organizations to implement a robust internal control framework that can mitigate the key bribery and corruption risks in the corporate events. Wong concludes—“We believe this is an important aspect of event organization and we expect this product to bring a lot of value to our existing customer base.”
