Let's have a look at the reasons behind these tremendous changes

    Predictive Programming

    While citing the examples of increased sophistication in online advertising technology, predictive programming ranks at the top. Based on the user's online behavior, it collects a wide range of data and helps advertisers to know about user behavior in the online space. Advertisers can implement activities quickly based on the information gathered by this technology, thus leading to successful online advertising.

    AR and VR

    About half a decade ago, the Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies were limited to just games and entertainment. Since then, these technologies have covered quite a distance by contributing to each digital industry, including online advertising. Advertisements have become more interesting and interactive with the use of AR and VR that enable consumers to intercommunicate more with marketing and advertising messages. VR platforms can even connect to the audience's emotions, which other platforms are not able to do.

    Connected TV

    Connected TV or the CTV provides a happy solution for the advertisers in the digital age where ad-skipping technology has improved with time. The users of CTV are now watching shows and programs on the Internet rather than via a TV station. On this CTV platform, video advertising are administered in the beginning and the middle of the program to get the maximum viewership. Users now have to accept the advertisements without any option to skip them in order to watch the program. This technique is beneficial for online advertising companies.

    Omni-Channel Marketing

    There has been a 91 percent enhancement year-over-year in customer retention rate for the businesses that have adopted Omni-channel strategies in comparison to those who haven't adopted. Omni-channel marketing provides a better user experience by creating a number of interaction points and more opportunities for generating revenue in the online advertising sector.
