    Sustainability in hotels can include improving the brand image as customers are interested in environment-friendly companies, and prospective employees want to be part of companies that make a difference in the community

    Fremont, CA: The hospitality industry has seen a lot of transformation over the last few years, thanks to the emergence of new and innovative technologies. However, with these transformations, some challenges come with it.

    Here are five issues that the hospitality sector faces at present:

    Marketing and Reputation Management

    Online marketing that has targeted content and relevance is essential to boost potential guests to the hotel’s website and the hotel. Hotel managers need to ensure that they get good reviews from guests to have a robust online presence and interact on social media as it is essential to have a good reputation.

    Simplifying Processes with Mobile Technology

    Integrating mobile technology into the hotels’ processes for employees and customers to report, check-in and checkout instantly, replace room keys, and pay for leisure activities or meals can enhance customer experience and the hotel’s entire performance and reputation.

    Customers are interested in products they can personalize or have tailored experiences that have been personalized for them. Advertisements or content can emphasize on the various elements of the hotel that need to be targeted for guests on their preferences they’ve shared online.

    Remembering returning guests’ personal information and tastes, automated emails asking for feedback after a stay are few other ways to record the customer’s tastes and identify where the hotel needs to improve.

    Sustainability

    Sustainability in hotels can include improving the brand image as customers are interested in environment-friendly companies and prospective employees want to be part of companies that make a difference in the community, profit the economic incentives led by governments for the development of a green business or enhance cost-efficiency by introducing better work procedures and environmentally friendly technologies that increase the hotel’s profitability.

    Changes like installing low-flush toilets, recycling, or going paper-free are some things that hotels need to implement.

    Higher Customer Expectations

    Hotels need to emphasize on optimizing guests’ satisfaction by ensuring that everything is right. Maintenance management software enables multiple people from different departments to report failures which are promptly communicated to the respective employees or technicians.
