Digital innovations shape the enterprises for the future and equip them with capabilities to address the impending challenges that lie ahead.
FREMONT, CA: Enterprises are moving towards digital trends that are relevant to their business requirements. According to a survey, 85 percent of the enterprise leaders feel that they have just two years to make advancements in terms of digital innovations. According to a study, almost half of the organizations’ revenue will be influenced by digital trends by 2020. Here are some of the enterprise technology trends in the coming years.
Advanced Automation
AI has the potential to automate functions that were believed to be irreplaceable from the human realm. For instance, drone technology, robots, and vehicles are getting increasingly independent. Enterprises have already automated many of their manual processes. Companies who are still running on manual processes, or relying on e-mail or paper-based functionalities are risking their long term existence in the market. It’s essential to explore innovative ways in which technologies can not only be incorporated but also be utilized in a way that suits the business requirements.
Augmented Analytics
The current business processes gather data from a number of sources. The complexity of the data sets requires a professional who can organize and refine as well as come up with useful insights. Usually, a data scientist does all the above and thus can be impractically expensive for some compan
ies. Augmented analytics addresses the above issue. Augmented analytics handles many of the time-consuming tasks of data collection and refinement automatically and with fewer errors. Consequently, data scientists can spend more time searching for actionable insights.
Contextual Privacy
The ever-increasing cases of data and security breaches have turned the customers as well as the business more focused on privacy than before. The trend is expected to move towards contextual privacy in the near future. Contextual privacy will allow the sharing of data with the users while limiting their exposure to sensitive content. As the hackers will continue to explore ways to breach into an organization’s network, it is best to resort to tools that will enhance the possible loopholes in the enterprise’s network.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to Shape Analytics
The trend will incorporate the autonomous or semiautonomous examination of data using complex AI tools and algorithms.
Further, the adoption of AI will proliferate in latency-sensitive areas. Edge AI will empower individual business units with local processing capabilities. Emerging AI-driven technologies include adaptive ML, AI platform as a service (PaaS), generative adversarial networks, transfer learning, and graph analytics.
The Internet of Things (IoT)
The IoT was incorporated as a niche of technology for startups but now is being incorporated by major organizations. The ability of IoT devices to automate and add efficiency to everyday tasks adds immense value to the organization’s processes. In the future, businesses will utilize IoT to include the full spectrum of devices such as sensors, devices, and other IoT elements into their mobile applications.
Apart from these trends, innovations will also emerge and shape enterprises in the future. Early adopters will gain an early momentum on the road to modernization and innovation.
