Advantage Of Using Technology In Real-Estate And Construction Sector

Apac CIO Outlook | Tuesday, November 30, 2021
    Tweet

Fremont, CA: Technology is critical in optimizing staff productivity in the real estate and construction sectors. Teams frequently get confronted with important issues such as distant communication, disorganized work breakdown structures, site budget control, resource management, and so on. Due to the difficulties encountered by the construction personnel, project deliverables are also severely delayed.

A structured approach to workforce and project management is essential for guaranteeing smooth execution and communication. When a company implements an advanced technology solution, site teams may constantly update management, resulting in increased project transparency. Key construction management systems, such as Zepth, improve procurement through delivery, cut costs, and increase staff productivity.

    • Greater collaboration through technology

The enhanced communication among stakeholders is a fundamental benefit of using an enterprise-wide IT solution for building projects. Because of the enhanced efficiency that cooperation brings, about a 70percent of Indian construction enterprises are in the early stages of their digital journey.

Larger capital projects often have 20percentage time and 80percent financial overruns during their lifetimes, making them increasingly difficult to manage at scale. With the advent of digitalization, construction firms may become more responsive to dynamic changes and trends while maintaining team communication.

    • Better planning stage efficiencies

The emphasis on strategic planning through technology is one of the most significant areas of effect for the construction sector. Several technical aspects that may get included in construction projects, such as BIM, 4D, ERP, CRMs, and 3D printing, are assisting employees in gaining a better understanding of project reality at scale. In fact, including BIM in construction planning and strategy can save up to 20percent of overall expenditures by shortening construction time.

For an omnichannel transformation experience, 66 percent of construction firms prioritize critical technologies such as BIM, virtual mapping, building visualization, compliance tools, and so on. They are constructing an ecosystem to improve planning and strategy to save money throughout the project. Consequently, the construction crew is becoming more productive, with improved access to quality project data at critical planning stages.
