    AI Founding Abilities to Detect and Treat Cancer: Decoding the Buzz!

    AI is making the cancer researchers and doctors take notice of its abilities, raising the expectations of better rates of survival, going forward.

    FREMONT, CA: According to predictions, the number of cancer detections will go up in the upcoming years. To mitigate the disease, the healthcare industry is looking at all possible solutions. The good news is that artificial intelligence aided diagnosis and treatment have the potential to improve many aspects significantly. The applications of AI have driven positive changes across industries, and the medical sector is also incorporating the technology to sound effects.

    Cancer can spell doom for an individual if it is not detected at an early stage. More than 80 percent of deaths because of breast, ovary, prostate, and lung cancer can be prevented if diagnosed early. This makes early cancer detection very integral to make cancer treatable. Previously, the detection of cancer was even more difficult than it is now. Better imaging and scientific advancements have helped evolve better techniques, but these lack the desired accuracy. AI, with its data-driven approach, can help healthcare professionals make accuracy achievable.

    AI can leverage the vast amount of medical data available with the industry to enhance machine learning capabilities of the system. By analyzing the data, it can discover hidden patterns associated with cancer. With deep learning abilities, it can join the dots to make complex pictures related to genetics and cancer much more precise than what is possible with traditional tools. 

    AI can enable a diagnosis to become much less invasive and painful because it has to do with imaging tools and data-driven approach. The faster detection can also mean that treatments are started at the earliest, giving better odds for survival and recovery.  Not just diagnosis but the treatment procedure can become much more effective. Due to better monitoring capacities, doctors can track the development of tumors and address precision medicine. Drug response can also be analyzed, enabling doctors to change medication as per the patient's progress or deterioration. 

    Before the full-scale application of AI to cancer diagnosis and treatment, many barriers have to be overcome, and regulations have to be complied with. Once that is done, the medical industry can utilize AI driven technology to assist healthcare experts for better cancer treatment.
