Apigee boosts Salesforce Healthcare and Lifesciences through its API management software

Las Vegas, NV: Apigee, a developer of an intelligent API (Application program interface) platform, announces their support to Salesforce Healthcare and Lifesciences across Salesforce Health cloud. This health care product supports healthcare providers in data interoperability and is built on the Apigee Edge API management software and Apigee Health APIx.

Salesforce health cloud:

Salesforce health cloud is a cloud-based patient relationship management solution that enables providers to gain a complete view of the patient with integrated data from electronic medical records (EMR’s). It will empower healthcare providers to deliver patient-centric healthcare decisions, engage with patients across their caregiver networks, and manage patient data.

Apigee Edge and Apigee Health APIx:

Apigee Edge is a flagship API management product that delivers an enterprise-grade platform for managing, securing and scaling APIs. Apigee Health APIx is a software solution built on Apigee Edge that helps to connect data from systems record to health cloud securely, assists healthcare provider (hospitals & doctors) to connect with app developers to accelerate the development & delivery of digital services based on FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) APIs.

Apigee Health APIx solution provides Salesforce health Cloud partners with access to a healthcare specific developer portal with FHIR API documentation and content, a new open-source project that has a collection of pre-configured API proxies, pre-integrated OAuth authentication protocol and reference implementation of leading FHIR enabled apps.
