AUSTIN, TX: AtScale , a provider of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions on Hadoop, partners with Tableau Software– an enterprise data visualization software provider- to deliver “BI on Hadoop” accelerator that enables users to run data analytics on Hadoop with 100X performance.

The solution offers enterprise-grade security without necessitating the Information Technology (IT) departments to move, transform or sample data for analytics. Business Intelligence (BI) on Hadoop accelerator integrates with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.

BI on Hadoop accelerator’s seamless integration with Tableau server provides organizations the security and speed for accessing Hadoop in a governed manner. AtScale provides native support for Tableau Desktop by direct integrationwithout client or agent download, and enables customers to query Hadoop without local setup and installation.

The AtScale Tableau BI on Hadoop offers a rapid prototype environment that enables AtScale partners to deploy BI on Hadoop supporting all Hadoop distributions. It is cost-effective and time saving, and bridges the gap between the markets of BI and big data.

Hadoop is a java-based open source programming framework andsupports processing of large data sets in a distributed computing environment.

The integration of AtScale and Tableau empowers the companies to harness the potential of business intelligence tools with new BI on Hadoop accelerator.

“Tableau helps people see and understand data,” says Michael Hoff, VP, Channel, Tableau. “Customers who have deployed AtScale have experienced tremendous performance improvements and like the solution’s simplicity and tight integration with Tableau. We look forward to working with AtScale to bring this solution to marke with a special program for our customers. Tableau customers and partners should look at this new offer as an “all-in-one” solution which will help meet their BI on Hadoop needs”.
