FREMONT, CA: A new sort of drug is sold every day, be it under prescription or not. It has become really difficult to identify and categorize all of these in a retail drug store which is an important end of the business. CloudMinds, a cloud-based AI solution provider for the medical industry, has joined hands with retail pharmacy giants of the U.S. to solve this issue with cloud AI solution.
The induction of artificial intelligence (AI) in the healthcare industry is the latest trend, and it can tackle many issues. Although the American and European medical industry is strictly regulated with the sales of prescribed drugs it can’t stop the inflow of new drugs to the retail sellers. CloudMinds along with the leading U.S. medicine distributors are implementing and distributing their smart Raman spectrometers for the retailers that can efficiently identify drugs, sort, do the quality check and recycle.
The CloudMinds XI is a cloud AI based Raman spectrometer that can be used to identify and categorize drugs including their composition, quality, counterfeits, etc. It can identify a medicine even if it’s in the form of tablet, ointment, liquid or cream. This handheld device is integrated with smartphone-like features that are connected to not only the local cloud networks but also the international ones, via cellular networks. It offers a cloud AI solution that detects and identifies at least 3 major components in a drug deeming it harmful or not.

The CloudMinds technology enables the device to connect and utilize the various cloud infrastructures, connecting multiple devices, to share information and do real-time updates. This feature will be able to fasten the process of drug identification much better than other similar devices in the industry.
