Malaysia: BIGIT announces a strategic think tank and media partnership with AsianDataScience.com, a community platform for Asia that discusses data science topics ranging from case studies and analytics, to strategy and organizational transformation.

The announcement was made by Derek Bong, CEO of BIGIT and AsianDataScience’s founder, Peter Kua.

AsianDataScience will manage the BIGIT content that focuses on IT, technology offerings and innovation. Starting with BIGIT 2018, with its Moving beyond Big Data theme, the partnership will ensure excellent data science content creation – including big data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and the Internet of Things (IoT) - on both business and technology fronts. This will ensure the BIGIT conferences are good value for money and deliver an unforgettable experience to the attendees.

"Since 2013, we have been the sole think tank for BIGIT events, covering every angle of each conference from production, operations, sales and marketing, and to final product itself.  We have one primary objective - to deliver a wide range of insightful and knowledgeable speakers so that the audience who walks out from our event is well instilled with the latest IT knowledge and trends in the market. It is great but we want to make it better and unique. Inspired by how AI is progressing, we are delighted to have AsianDataScience work closely with us and allow actual data scientists to play a role in evolving the BIGIT conference content. We are excited to witness what the outcome would be,” said Derek.

“We are excited to work with BIGIT because of its interest in delivering cutting-edge, technology-focused conferences in Malaysia and around the region. BIGIT displays exactly the kind of innovative- and forward-looking that is necessary in the fast-changing tech environment. We have a mutual commitment to bring high-quality data science events and content to our users to continue building out a data-driven culture in all organizations and future proofing them,” said Peter Kua.

AsianDataScience will also become BIGIT's media partner for its global conferences, collaborating on advertising opportunities to enable both parties to increase their reach among tech-focused audience.

BIGIT 2018 is now set to be on live 4-5th September 2018, Selangor, Malaysia.
