    SANTA CLARA, CA: Dell EMC announces the availability of Dell EMC Networker with CloudBoost solution to enhance the protection of applications running on Amazon Web Services (AWS).  The new offering extends the Dell EMC Data Domain protection storage platform to Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).

    NetWorker with CloudBoost

    Dell EMC empowers IT organisation to manage and secure their data in cost-efficient and agile way in the cloud. NetWorker with CloudBoost runs independently within an AWS and provides end-to-end enterprise back-up solution for all applications running on AWS. It further enables the enterprises to leverage Amazon S3 platform for protecting their AWS workloads.

    “The availability of Dell EMC NetWorker with CloudBoost on AWS is a particularly exciting announcement for all of the customers who have cometo depend on Dell EMC solutions for data protection in their on-premises environments,” says Bill Vass, Vice President, Technology, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “Now these customers can get the same data protection experience on AWS, providing seamless operational backup and recovery, and long-term retention across all of their environments.”

    Data Domain Cloud Tier

    Dell EMC Data Domain leverages variable-length deduplication to increase the storage capacity and data protection in the system. Data Domain Cloud Tier incorporates businesses with advanced technology for deploying cloud economics platform with data management experience. It provides a single system to amalgamate backup, archive and disaster recovery. The Cloud Tier further allows the customers to tier data to Amazon S3 to increase the reliability of the system. 

    “Our collaboration with Amazon Web Services allows us to follow through on our commitment to protect all of our customer’s data, regardless of where it resides,” said Russ Stockdale, Vice President of Data Protection Cloud at Dell EMC. “For those customers looking to utilize Amazon S3 storage for long-term retention, we can now offer a native tiering experience within Data Domain.”
