DevEX 3.6, the latest and advanced release of Flagship Formula-Based PLM Platform by Selerant

By Apac CIO Outlook | Monday, August 10, 2020
    Tweet

Selerant, a Milan based leading global provider of formula-based PLM (product lifecycle management) software has made its foothill in the way of leadership and innovation process or formula-based PLM and is continuing the legacy with a growth rate of 35 percent over the year in the food and beverage sector. Selerant advances innovation with its newly launched DevEX 3.6, at IFT18 Food Expo in Chicago, a Flagship Formula-Based PLM platform to provide faster production with higher safety and lower costs.

Selerant’s core DevEX PLM platform empowers companies to compact and control critical aspects of New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI), which includes innovation and R&D, specification and formulation management, product portfolio management, compliance, and packaging.

“With the release of DevEX 3.6, Selerant demonstrates a continuous investment in the innovation of the entire PLM platform,” said Mariagiulia Faraoni, PLM Solution Manager at Selerant. “We have great enhancements in the labeling area as well as in document management to improve collaboration, and we have made detailed updates in the regulatory framework to ensure compliance with the latest legislation amendments. With our diverse user base, it was important that we enhance the platform across all modules with a goal to make our sophisticated PLM platform even better for our customers.”

DevEX 3.6 includes enhancements in the labeling area, document management to develop collaboration and detailed updates in the regulatory framework to ensure compliance with the latest legislation amendments.

DevEX 3.6’s development and management tool enables R&D users with optimal product design and development for both recipes and packaging and accelerating formulation and ensuring compliance and adherence to targets. It has an exciting new feature named Formula Timeline View that allows users to see the full history of the formula, together with a link to the formula specifications. Formulators will also be able to manage the Critical Control Points (for Equipment and Product) in the recipe development, with a new tool which manages equipment types and inventory.

Product Data Management tool provides master data and quality control through a specification management system that defines and manages documents as well as equips companies to standardize procedures for the best methodologies in the industry.

The most unique module named as Reg leverages a cyclical regulatory process for product development that touches every stage of the lifecycle of the product.

Supplier Collaboration Portal (SCP), the cloud-based self-service module is an add-on designed for both supplier and client organizations to ease the qualification, registration and subsequent ongoing management of suppliers and vendors. It includes advanced solutions for not only the management of approvers and watchers but also for analytical charts for questionnaires and messages and an advanced notification process, followed by embedded Email Tracking system.

Selerant’s new tagline “Create. Comply. Connect” explains how Selerant’s solutions take a customer’s product from idea to label in a connective process. The existing customer of DevEX can contact their Selerant account team for a DevEX 3.6’s demo and get a product update.
