SINGAPORE: Dimension Data, a provider of information technology and services, is selected by a leading service provider in 4G internet communication in Malaysia to build its Long Term Evolution (LTE) Operations Support System (OSS) / Business Support Systems (BSS) infrastructure.
LTE networks offer speeds of up to 10 times more than 3G networks. The Telco industry is also saturated and competitive and the only way out for service providers is to provide better and enhanced customer experiences in order to retain and increase subscriber base.
The OSS/BSS infrastructure plays a key role for service providers in accrediting LTE network capacity and service quality whileboosting parameters to provide high-speed mobile broadband services. Leveraging these services, service providers can deliver real-time services, billing and enhanced customer experiences for their mobile customers. These services have also enabled the service provider to provide customized services to its customers and enabling them with high speed and stable internet connectivity to support multimedia rich content.
Dimension Data also deployed a two-tiered firewall architecture to provide optimum security and facilitate high performance within the LTE OSS and BSS infrastructure.
“The fast-paced and challenging nature of the telco business forces companies in this sector to stay nimble, and be able to adapt quickly to new mobile technologies to address the ever-evolving consumer trends. We are proud to be chosen as the IT partner for such a significant network rollout, and we are confident the deployed systems backed by our expertise will help our client achieve their business objectives,” says Henrick Choo, Managing Director, Dimension Data Malaysia. “This partnership has also reinforced our foothold as a trusted IT partner in the media and communications industry, a key business vertical for Dimension Data both locally and globally.”
