DIMONT Launches Loss Draft Customer Service to Simplify Mortgage Process

By Apac CIO Outlook | Tuesday, May 14, 2019
    Tweet

DIMONT has announced its Enhanced Loss Draft Customer Support service which enables lenders to provide quicker and more effective resolution loss drafts by outsourcing insurance claims-related communications with customers via email or direct calls.

As per the company, the new service is designed to augment its Loss Drafts service, which enables borrowers, mortgage servicers and DIMONT employees to upload all the insurance claims-related documents and share the status information through a web portal. This particular feature allows the users to have real-time visibility of loss draft status along with a complete audit of a trail of the uploaded documents and it also allows tracking. Well, the service enables DIMONT to handle direct communications with their borrowers on claims-related issues.

The new service is particularly beneficial to lenders who communicate with people who have suffered in a major crisis like a flood, or other natural disasters.  Here, borrowers may need assistance with their insurance claims quickly. A loss draft is a cheque that an insurer will issue to a homeowner for the damages that occurred due to natural disasters and which affected their property. An agent usually comes for an inspection to inspect the damage before they issue a loss draft. After the owner and the insurer agree on the common terms like the estimated amount- to repair the damage, the insurer can issue a loss draft cheque.

Founded in 1996, DIMONT is among the largest providers on insurance claims and collateral loss mitigation services to the residential mortgage and auto lending industries in the US. One of the exemplary financial aid provided by the firm is the efficient and effective hazard insurance claims management services for mortgage loan investors and services.
