FREMONT, CA: DocsCorps, a computer software provider, announces that its contentCrawler solution is integrating with Microsoft’s SharePoint Online and is now available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

contentCrawler is a cloud based solution that searches SharePoint’s Online Libraries for image files such as TIFF and scanned PDFs, even those attached in emails. After searching, contentCrawler then Optical Character Recognizes’s (OCR) the documents and profiles the resulting searchable documents back into SharePoint. contentCrawler can also process documents 24/7 with its multi-thread processing capabilities.

Both contentCrawler and SharePoint Online are cloud-based solutions, making the processing speeds faster andsecure as files are not downloaded to local machines. The Processing of data takes place at a faster speed and finishes in a matter of minutes. On-premise infrastructure is also not required as the solution operates in the cloud. contentCrawler running in Microsoft Azure comes preconfigured and ready to run in Audit mode, while it provides insight to how much of content is static images in the SharePoint Online libraries.

contentCrawler currently supports two servicessuch as OCR and compression. In the Compression module, contentCrawler identifies the documents which can be compressed to a certain level so that space is optimized and more documents can be added. IT Administrators can also combine contentCrawler modules into a single, multi-process service for even greater efficiency and productivity.

“contentCrawler enhances the searchability of images stored in SharePoint Online. The contentCrawler free audit process enables the CIO to assess the quantity of content in their system that can benefit from this solution,” says Shane Barnett, DocsCorp CTO and Co-founder.
